Ok guys I found out that cutting I get as Nl5 x haze was in real Hortilabs Sour Amnesia...

So just to not missinformed people here.

Its not Mr Nice nl5 x haze and its not that old its Sour amnesia .

Hi there
Thanks for posting
For some comparison, this is Sour Pink Grapefruit from the same seedbank and the same dad. Both plants grown in 5 liter pots. They were outdoors until they showed sex and they flowered indoors

And this is Super Sour Skunk from Hortilab both grown from seed and made with the same dad as yours as well. In my environments they make powdery mildew too easy and I cant get them to fully mature but at least I can get a taste of what is all this hyped european and american weed. SPG and SSS smell like hashplants
For the people here who knows and it is very popular in Usa, Sour Diesel is a hashplant?

Which hybrids are the best with the shortest flowering time? I saw the NL x Haze. Need to scan the thread, just found it. Tom Hill got me thinking I need to try a haze, but I have to be able to finish it by mid october if possible. :smoke:

What do you mean? Legendary ganja cultivar..
I mean the plants I got are hashplants and I dont know the genetics
for me C5 cut is a hashplant. From a cross done with C5 x Sour Diesel very dominant C5 I got the best hash I ever made from dry sift
if Sour Diesel V3 is sativa then the Superskunk pre98 and the Grapefruit cut from Breeders Steve should be both hashplant dominants in those crosses and it is the same experience I find in the indica x sativa crosses. What I find is a hashplant called sativa and it is not of my liking.
It is my own particular taste in weed developed on more than 35 years of smoking pure sativas and coming to the growing world because I cant get them with money anymore so I need to grow my own sativas
And nothing wrong with other people looking for hashplants that grow like sativas because they give more productivity than pure hashplants and is the best they can grow in their environments located usually at lat 40N up. I live where less than 3% of the world population is living so it is a different experience growing from here
I believe what most people look for is for the best weed they can grow in their environment and for certain environments a hashplant x sativa is a good cross but not so much in other environments which are much more humid, for some reason called wetlands and this kind of environment defies and it is not friendly to hashplants having the tag "sativas" where they show themselves too easily

Is the name Hash plant taken to mean they smoke like hash or that they produce copious amounts of resin? I never understood that label. Both NLD/WLD genetics can do both. Some of my most resinous plants are NLD. Some remind me of smoking hash as well.

WT x A5hazebx x Mac lowers. Skunky Diesel terps.

Ok I see, I think we have very different definitions of the word hashplant then.

How I would understand it is something that is primarily grown and bred for hash production. The Sours and NL Hazes are definitely not, many people appreciate their flower.

Yes they are indica/sativa hybrids and people expecting a pure equatorial sativa experience will surely be disappointed. As would people expecting a pure indica/afghanica type. But they have their own merits and fans..

Hi guys
I smoked legendary hash in the 80s and legendary charas from the 90s up to mid 2010s
Back in the 20th century, things were much more simple
You had marihuana, hashish or charas and it was either good marihuana or bad marihuana, good hash or bad hash and good charas or bad charas
Marihuana is smoked as buds. Marihuana plants dont make good hash, they smoke better as flower. Original Haze/Seedsman Haze hash sucks. THH hash sucks. They smoke much better as buds, they are marihuana

Hashplants smoke better as hash than as bud and this is what I find all over the canna world. Indica x sativa or sativa x indica I have made here and grown or made by others, it is hashplant. I never tried rosin in my life, this is something new for me. I guess you are making rosin from all these hashplants in order to get better high. I wonder if the rosin made from Original haze would be better than smoking a proper bud

Nevil I am sure he was a hash lover. C5 x Sour Diesel bud was not of my liking but the hash was superb
Blueberry is hashplant. Any cross you make with this stock is hashplant. The hash smoke from these strains is much better than buds, same with Deep Chunk. I never smelt this kind of buds in my life, this kind of stock was always made hash.
What I know as hash from real life is different profile than these Blueberry/Skunk/Deep Chunk smells. Lebanese buds dont hit. But they make an amazing hash. Same with moroccan strains

Charas plants buds dont hit at all, they are highless, thats why charas is made from them, it is a lot of work and they grow different than hashplants
From the stock I have grown, to my surprise Double Jam repro from Magic Herbs is charas plant. Buds are highless but the hash made from them was amazing uplifting charas like

There is place for everything in the canna world but I cant understand why or what is bothering on calling things for their right name

Canna breeders in general are misleading. They sell hashplants as sativas, charas plants as sativas,
You should learn from wine makers. If a winery is making Cabernet, they label it as such and not bullshit
It would be nice if the cannaworld would start labelling things correctly and not fantasy names like naming indica plants with country names suggesting sativas, a practive very common in the canna world

I think that every cnbs plant is hashplant.
Off all of them you can make hash even from 0.2% thc hemp.
Mostly landraces are not so strong so making hash wich is concentrate in some way make those buds stronger.

Interesting I would imagine any plant that would be good for hash and charas would be good for smoking as flowers, but maybe this isn't the case. If its really low potency landcrace hash only strains I could see that would be a possibility. Wonder if theres any strains best for cooking versus smoking. The strains have evolved to be best for the work they were chosen for.

My experience is different, landraces are much better than hybrids in terms of quality of high compared with almost everything I grew, the question is what you are sourcing or being sold as landrace and if it really is.
For me landrace is a strain grown in its own location, not in Alaska nor in Greenland, there it stops being landrace and has to adapt and if it adapts well might become a heirloom.
And tropical strains dont adapt good far from the tropics and results are usually poor

You can get resin from any canna plant. If resin smokes better than the bud and this is what you find mostly in the canna world, then it is either hashplant or charas plant

Pure sativas have always been made brick, never hash. Because they smoke better as brick than as hash and they smoke better as brick than as bud, they cure better as brick than bud, this is the reason why they were made brick which also makes for easy transportation, same thing with hash.
Hash is easy to transport, a lot of buds with lower quality high than the hash they make is not what made the trade profitable and outlaw.
