Try the coconut water method i found it works great on old and hard to germ seed.

Boil 1Lt of water let it cool then add and mix in 20 mil of 100% organic coconut water.

Add some into a glass place the seed into that mix and let soak for 24 hours.

Then place into towel or what ever method you use to germ seed and use the mix to keep paper or fabric towel moist.

Seems even better if you can get a fresh coconut from the store and use that. The heat pasteurization even organic coco takes some of the oomph out. I can usually get my hand on a nut at the super. Going to be doing that with some old seeds I plan on sprouting in about two weeks just before full moon.

I found the research on this some time ago and this method helped me get i think 40% germ rate in seed i got zero from using only water.

The stuff i get is 100% organic and it has not been heat treated.

The store cocunits

Their coconuts are shipped frozen to the store and then they ship it fresh to you with a 3 or 4-day shelf life. Exotic Superfoods (organic) This water is 100% organic and raw. It is not processed with any heat or HPP – but it's kept frozen to preserve freshness.

I use a little H2O2. I can add a little coconut to the water, like I do to the feed solution in bloom.

I have jars of virgin organic coconut oil. How can I make some use of them in my garden?

Yes, so that should be the best.

Amen, please do not use coconut OIL. I can’t imagine that would turn out well. You want all the aminos’s electrolytes and hopefully growth factors from the water. The more organic and less processed, the better.

I’ve heard some people do the same with fresh organic tomato seed (pulp) but I’ve not tried that one.

So.. all 10 of the sams, johnnychicago, starcrash/flowerpower icmag haze is up and out of the ground.
The thunk f1 from breeders retail none. There were no tails either. I planted them into some sterile seed starting mix. Will see... the final 10 thunk I will use some fresh coconut water from a coconut from the store. ✌️ Tried looking for one today no go.. probably have one at Kroger though.I’m glad they were giving out 20 instead of 10.
really old beans.... hoping fingers crossed 🤞

Hey if that doenst work you may want to try tossing them into a worm bin....

https://www.icmag.com/forum/marijua...-germination-and-micro-propagation-techniques

I have heard stories about the water left from draining pinto beans as well ....enzymes no doubt

You could resort to cracking them......seed cracker

I think clean is strangely important It allows in those enzymes... or what ever it is that signals them to grow!

Yes I have had just plain BAD luck with right into organic soil. Kills at least half. Idk if it’s not broke don’t fix it lol. I get good results from soaking for 2 days then straight into sterile seed start mix. Also idk if it’s true but a little heat seems to help old tropical seeds, like on top of the water heater just a little warm. Idk I thought it helped in the past.

The most important part of threads like this is to see the spark of interest in younger and older growers in Haze and sativa genetics.

Seeing people for the first time grow sats in or out doors is for me worth all the bull shit i get from some in this community.

The more people that grow these genetics the better.

If the thunk are f1 I think sam made them over 25 years maybe even over 30 years back now...my original thunk and haze x skunk no longer pop...I even tried some of the f1 thunk panic an gypsy had an they wont go either....probably too old now...fingers crossed for your final 10...good luck....they have in the last 5 years or so been known to sometimes pop after being upto a month in soil..so keep your eye on them.....I keept mine in the hopes that I can extract the embryo an do them invirto someday.
