not sure around 30% it was in a very heavy clay with high water table guerilla plot

My grove soil has a lot of decomposed granite, drains very well. We water deeply as needed. Several times a week in the hottest part of summer. I build in organics and mulch on top. I’ll be widening and amending the holes over the next month to prepare for this years crop. Just thinking about adding some of the coco on the outer ring of the hole. Might help with some water retention at the edges.

For pots, In other locations, I’d consider adding some of the coco as well. I’m mainly growing those plants in 100 L pots. I don’t want to have to water everyday as I split time between sites during the grow season. I’d still like to keep those organic and have sporadically used the Botanicare line for amending feed from the built soil.

But if I wanted to seriously run an indoor winter crop (already getting a little late this year), I’d have to consider the suggested method from Flower Power/ Star. Damn it’s impressive.

oh definitely use the coco uhn,
its fantastic stuff , makes the soil so friable,
which of course the roots love , more root action ,,
more plant action ,
you wont look back mate ...
as harvest suggested , use 30 % , id mix in perlite as well if your not already ,
dont use it just on the outer ring ,, incorporate it into the whole bed ,
as with the perlite ....

Yeah My interest is definitely piqued on this. I use perilite in my potted soils. Don’t think it’s as necessary in the grove because the drainage is already superb.

Wow. I love that color!! Looks like even the stems are turning that purple color.

Johnny, do you mind telling us about these? I tried looking back at old posts..but.. well y'all know how well our search function works..

It's from Madmac's breeding that purple/magenta color! Not rare it seems in his OH x THH crosses.

LVTK Haze is from my Haze12 line, that has been bred to be used as breeding line to combine with other Haze lines or with modern strains like cookies, Kushes etc.
That's always my first goal in breeding. Preserving or creating cultivars that are great for breeding, more than selecting for commercial traits, that are always the same basicallly....
Doing things differently to get different results.
Quality of effect over potency. Also one of my main goals.
Improving the quality of effect of Cookies and Kushes with the Haze too. Often they get also sexually more stable, the Cookies and co.

That said, in LVTK Haze I have found one of my favourite indica sativa Haze plants for potency ever. And I smoke Haze since 1992 and have been in the Haze mekka all the time during the golden era.

You will find hazed Kush phenos, Kush Haze phenos, Skunk Haze with strong eucalytpus/menthol scents and almost pure Haze should be there too.
Also colorful males to be found...

sounds like you got some nice spots ,,,here in the cold damp uk it can get a lil swampy plants as wet as monsoon without rain as humidity i had perlite in the mix to an used the coco to try keep a bit more air round the roots etc it wernt a measured mix just used what i had knocking about the place etc but was around 30% to a perlite mixed soil ,,from what your saying it may make your pots dry out to fast in your area outdoors ,,an yep fp always impressive his garden doors in pots caught my eye to they were huge lol

Have you bought grains of paradise, Willy? :)

I hate NL johnny i have been saying this for years i told Nevil this 1000 times to lol and of all the Haze lines i have and grew from Nevil and shantis work only SSH had what i call the dirty high.

I was offered a NL line that was inbreed 15 generations here out doors came from the high country it was covered in resin looked silver i said no as i hated the affect.

I believe that Nevils work with the NL is very underrated.
Also inside the Haze.
And NL is just like pure Haze, if you love NL Haze or NH from Nevil and you want understand it.
Espcially the differences. Then you need to explore pure NL and pure Haze.
The most interesting has been the old school effect of NL for me.

Has been like a 6 month trip to 1994. Time machine just like I did report from the Haze the years before sharing it.

Very happy to be back in 2022 after the long NL trip :D

I hope I can get a good THH or any other Haze lol. Not having the best of luck so far.

You need more numbers on these reproductions of very inbred OH lines.
Even Tom himself said to look for the best 10% or so if I remember well...

Or use Mac's OH x THH if you have no access to his later work, the S1, R4 etc.
Or his Seedsman.
Every Haze line does have its puropse and its use....

those are 4 foot plants which will produce at least four ounces a piece of extremely valuable bud... this next one is platinum Kush breath started from seed and I ran out of space never took the plant out of this 16 oz cup so I decided to leave it as an experiment and see what happens I say it was successful even I was surprised this plant is holding at least 1 oz of good flower

No, I've never tried it (even though you already recommended it to me;) ) As you know, I'm not good at describing aromas, and I'm a bit old school, people talk about particular terpenes and their effects, for me it's like pepper or carrot and a lot of magic ...
About NL, I'm old enough to remember NL as the apotheosis of indoor cannabis, skunk was too, but nl was one step further ...
Incredible how things change in a "short" time ...
I got interested in nl a few years ago, when I had the chance to share it with a friend, it was fantastic.(and you know me I'm not a indica man)
Unfortunately I'm always busy with sativas, but I should make a jar for her....
Great work ;)

Tom said 1 in 20 I believe - to find the ‘acid’ pheno. Not necessarily that 19/20 are hay.

He actually said 5 in 100. Maybe you have 5 & there are 9 less lucky packs out there…

March 20 1985 sacred seed bust

april/may 1985 sam in Holland

Nov 6 1986 cannabis castle interview article, Steven hager travels to Holland meets Sam who brags about aabout money he's made selling seeds to nevil including the haze seeds

1987 hager returns for first cannabis cup

1988 first haze seeds offered publicly by nevil after year(s) of experimentation. Hawaiian haze wins cannabis cup for sativa

It's physically impossible to make those haze seeds in holland in time frame given. Nevils story never changed he freely shared his ideas and theories many of which I've found scientific evidence for. Nevil was brave and confident enough to create an entirely new industry which put the means of production on the people's hands. No matter the industry,, corporate greeds main goal is to deny the small guy ability to provide for themselves in order to leverage the price of asset.

. nev stood for everything a homegrower does now. Cannabis companies and states/countries are racking their brains to determine best way to monetize and tax access to cannabis. Whereas other farmers are paid subsidies not to grow too much crops, cannabis growers are forced to subsidize government for the "privaledge" of non persecution or prosecution. Ever take a look at hortapharms patent documents? They've literally filed literature reviews claiming property of any cannabis breeding idea in existence. They fail to recognize that cannabis as a plant and medicine can't be commodified in this way. It's from the earth you can't patent or restrict nature. Sam doesn't need to be a spy or dea to be a liar.
Bottom line he sold nevil genetics he no longer has access to. And nevil made good use of them to all of our benefit! The worst part is sam has information that could advance haze breeding but refuses to share it because first he'd have to admit he's lied about nevils seeds.
