I made it

right on, how was it put together....

(Animal x god bud) x (LP x Hindu), Animal x (LP x (Hindu x God bud)... etc etc.

I'm not a big fan of BC bud depots god bud, the original clone only though....is bomb!

I have never used a mutagen but I read, in greg green's cannabis breeders bible, that you were supposed to treat the seeds.

There's many ways to apply colchicine. I had my mad scientist buddy treat the male and idk how many times he applied it or if he sprouted them up in it or what. I think treatments to successive generations are necessary to stack the genetic deck in your favor.

If i remember right from school they start out 2n (n=chromosomes)and go to 3n after
treatment. Then you want to take that offspring and treat it to get to 4n. The maximum being 8n

Even sets of chromosomes are desired, odd sets (3,5,7) are usually weak, mutated and often undesirable.

Now anybody out there correct me if I'm wrong because I don't even remember where I read all that 10+ years ago

Animal Cookie x Love Potion #1 x Gods' Bud x Hindu Kush aka Snow Shoes started out with a really nice lemony Love potion #1 from Reeferman, then my buddy gave me the colchicine treated God's bud male and I made some beans.

I grew the Love Potion #1 x Gods' Bud and it was a big hit. I had found a male Hindu Kush from Sensi Seeds with trichomes all over it so I put some pollen on some lower branches of the L.P. x G.B.

I backcrossed the L.P. x G.B. x H.K. once, selected a robust, F2 male and put that pollen on Animal Cookies.

and there you have it A.C. x L.P. x G.B. x H.K. aka snow shoes

nice so its mostly cookies then.

I got a couple cuts a few years ago from a local club, some BC god bud and GDP x BC god bud called Gurple.

in general, if it was successful... yeah wild variation... sometimes freak potency or terpenes and such sometimes it some other crazy mutation lots of them are counter productive.... the vast majority of seedling from the original treatment don't even survive the mutations are so bad and the mutagen is to toxic...

but as far as I know the resulting mutant plants are OK to smoke unless somehow maybe, unlike nothing I have ever heard, the mutation causes the MJ to produce some toxic molecule. but again I've never heard about anything like that and I haven't messed with mutagens... though when done with proper controls it should be fun...

I would just HIGHLY recommend to anyone messing with this stuff to keep these mutant strains isolated quarantined and not mixed into gene pools without being marked clearly and not used for breeding again unless you keep everything quarantined from the outside world and under control... otherwise harmful mutant genes could pop up several generations later after they have spread through many populations.

that's why this stuff is really for the pros only IMHO.

Scientists and hippys have been using colchicine for a long time and a lot of strains are polyploidy or have stacked chromosomes from this practice.

Have you ever seen a wild strawberry? Compare that to a store bought one. The wild strawberry has 2 sets of chromosomes, that big strawberry at the store is at 8n.

"uhh, in my college Bio class we learned polyploid. basically what happens is when the gametes are being produced and undergo meiosis(maybe you want to look up a little on that) nondisjunction occurs..that is when the chromosomes line up along the middle of the cell, they are supposed to move to the opposite sides in equal numbers(hard to explain)...nondisjunction is when one or more chromosomes sticks to another and gets pulled into the new cells as extra chromosomes. and all we were taught about that is that it will make humans have downs syndrome, etc. and it will make plants grow super strong. the strawberries we buy at the store are polyploid fruit, out in nature strawberries are super small... same thing happens with ganja" - A smart person

The male was treated 4 generations back.

No you won't grow gills :kos:

You might turn into an Iguana though if you keep eating strawberries

Here is Bodhi Strange Love which is GSC x (SourD x Bubba98)

I had a nice long detailed post but it got lost,

I understand nondisjunction and polyploid conditions... I was referring to the fact that mutant genes can come in homo dom, hetero, and recessive dom conditions and therefore be passed on without knowing and negative traits pop up later because of it... no necessarily all the time... but the risk is there... hence my warning.

not saying you shouldn't experiment just saying those factors should be in mind when growing and breeding these mutated lines.

I would play with mutagens If I had a whole separate place to do so.... X men lab Fuck yeah! :D

thanks man, this run is a bit sub standard, summer has been pretty rough and I run a 12k btu a/c that BARELY keeps up, I don't think it's turned off once since mid june. the smell could be described as a jelly donut although for me it's more og dom with the lemon/fuel terps translating into more of artificial fruit filling/fuel it's pretty tough for me to describe. The louis really dominated the cross, luckily it roots a bit faster, stretches a bit less, and holds it's own weight a whole lot better than the louis...I think of it more as an og with a twist, flav coats your mouth like a good og, yields better than cooks...my jelly jar's been empty for a while...it might be easier to describe after a fresh rip or two.
