Well tom there may be a lot of different plants with the name GDP, OG , Dream etc., but there is only 1 clone that made t/he brand name represented by the buds attached to the name itself...Just like the Bubba I have isn't "Bubba Kush"...its the Bomb Threat..

It will be Mad River Kush by the time it makes it down south and you know it. Which GDP is the real? Which Chem? Which OG? I was there high on the TK when the name Bomb Threat got tossed around and I assure you it won't stick - it's Bubba Kush, and that's all that'll stick, not that it matters.

Any one that is REALLY from those original bag seeds..Which OG...well you said it yourself ...TK! Which GDP...which ever one Nspecta gave me back in the day LOL...

Shit...Only one pack will be Mad River Kush..Can't forget the Willits Kush..the Iron Peak Kush.....Alderpoint Kush.....Kush Kush...I can keep going. Love you bro best of luck this year. A fall finish will not do. We need a couple of boats of 1:100 fat headed Haze finished in a blackbox by Aug1 @ 3000ft+ ;)

Whatever you say, boss. I'll build the black box, you buy the machine and provide me the plants. I'll have one of my sherpas pull tarp...We blow R C Clark and Sam's mind.

Howd all the great outdoor growers end up in northern cali? Whats the magic ingredient? I just checked that map and im on the border of a 22 and 24 zone in socal. why is it so rare to go outdoor here?

Howdy, I have one last missing piece I'm about to order and wanted to get an opinion, either from Butte since I'm buying it based on his little tutorial back on page 16 (if you use the default messages-per-page) of this thread, or from anyone else using the concrete/keystone welded wire.

I'm going to buy 72" 2"x4" welded mesh wire for both branch support + deer protection early on, and given I'm using 3'x3' holes(100 gallon) I'm wondering what a good diameter to make the circles would be.. Not having any experiencing outdoors I am not exactly sure how wide these things get on average. If I go too big then obviously the branches won't reach the holes in the mesh, and too small it may not give enough support if the branches are weighing on the wire too close to the stalk and sticking out too far from the mesh holes.

One option is I figure if I go too big I can always shrink the circumfrence by just overlapping the fence, then expand as needed. Starting off too small and expanding would be a much bigger pain in the ass..

But I was looking for just a rough estimate to help me determine how much wire to order as it's not exactly the cheapest stuff in the world.. If I didn't have any place to get some opinions I imagine I'd be going with 4' diameter.. (12.5 linear feet per plant)

nomaad, thanks for your response already(I just saw it as I'm editing this).. I just wanted folks that are familiar with that Butte post earlier to know that the ring I'm talking about is the larger of the 2 rings he uses, not the initial 2' one.. Since I won't have as big of plants I'm thinking I can get away with one ring, and if not the 2' diameter rings are easy enough to do with some shorter less heavy duty mesh wire I already have handy. From the dimensions of the ring-top he put on that was 5'x5' and tells me his outer ring must be in that 5' diameter range for plants that were quite a bit bigger..

Thanks much

BB

IME plants tend to get at least 1.5-2' bigger than their container or hole. putting the mesh about 6"-12" outside your pot/hole seems about right.

4' diameter on a cage sounds about right for a 3' hole.

Wait a minute for confirmation. I am one of the most inexperienced growers on here. Its sunny today, so everybody is probably pretty busy. Maybe give it a day for comment before you make a definitive order.

If I decide to do Butte-style caging, I'll be going for 1 ft outside the pots.

Well the snow and freezing temps finally passed by, now its four days of rain!

MAN, my Bubba Hybrids are one tough cookies, a few did get hit pretty hard their leaves are white and purple. Temps were in the upper 20's and we got a dusting of snow, out of the 37 or so I had out I'd say I replaced about 6 or 7 last night. I brought out 26 more last night of Urk x Bubs, Pimpslap x Bubs, GC x Bubs, ChocoThai x Bubs. About another week I'll be bringing out the OG x Bubs, White x Bubs, Bubs, and my NL84 cut.

Forecast for my area is lookin prime, few days of rain then all next week highs in the mid 70's and lows in the low to mid 60's...primo!

PLANTY, which pheno is the bomb threat? I'm about to run a gangload of S1's. Give me something to keep my eye out for bro...peace

Hahah id definitely say that bein up north is prime for being able to get legit cuts. Ive steered clear of bubba's just for the fact that theres a million out there and no way to know whats real. too many irresponsible clubs that dont vet their cuts. besides alot gets renamed once it hits the jars. my buddy in ukiah is always like, damn u guys in la have some strange named bud. whats more ridiculous is that clubs i go to never take more than a qp at a time. more than that and i need to go through my guy up north. so it makes this giant uturn.
