Two completely unrelated factors. e.g. Can I love Hempy but reject his interpretation of some aspects of society and politics? I admit to a profound dislike of Trump, dating back way before he put his nose into politics. I can discern some flickers of light in some things he seemingly represents very seldomly scattered, like wanting medical for all. However, I dislike him and do not trust him because he lies.
Awesome! I've always wanted to encounter an Arizona Coral Snake or Gila Monster, or Blacktail for that matter. I've so far only seen dead blacktails on roadways, after arriving just moments too late in some cases.View attachment 19169986
^ I see these occasionally…very rarely. Coral Snake. Not to be toyed with. Mostly I deal with Blacktail Rattlesnakes. Pretty mellow snakes. Those are very common here.
I’ve never seen a Gila Monster. That’s something I’d like to see.
In all my years in the mountains I’ve never seen a Mountain Lion. Found plenty of their kills and prints but never seen one. I know they’ve seen me though.
I lived in their territory. I blocked a route used by a cougar hunter guide. He asked me why. I told him that I did not agree with his way of making a living. Surprisingly, he said 'fair enough' and took the ten mile detour around. I heard a couple and saw one once in winter.
