Hempy's plants are sick. :flu:
Anyone want to offer a diagnosis?
Too much lengbeinite? Too much fish bone meal? Not enough calcium? Too much WINNING!? I suspect it might be genetic, but I've also been experimenting with new fertz.

This crop and the previous crop were crosses that I made with Greek Heirloom sativa and Critical Widow. This current crop is back crossed to Critical Widow. Both lines had this problem starting 1.5 weeks into flower. The bud still comes out perfect but the plants are fuggly (certainly not centerfold material).

Can't say for sure but I'd guess too much fertilizer. I've been growing in only compost with 1/3 sand gravel but when I transplanted some seedlings the other day I planted into straight vermicompost. Surprisingly I got brown/yellow tips meaning too many nutrients so I transplanted again into the sand mix. I also watered in some EM fermentation to try to eat up/stabilize the nutrients some.

Thanks Microbeman! :tiphat:

Yeah, I've planted directly into worm castings before too and same thing. It burns them up with to much N.

I plan on going back to castings teas, and want to try seabird guano for P and diluted coconut water for K. Maybe ground oyster shells for calcium. I want natural, easy, gentle non-slaughter based ingredients. I'd like to stop using blood meal and bone meal because they stink and the lengbeinite definitely stinks. Made my apartment smell like sulfur.:puke:
