Also the same day that Pelosi sent Impeachment to the Senate (after holding it back from the Senate for several days without explanation)? Brazil, Italy, and India were also hit hardest and these were all countries who were alligned politically with Trump. The new Trade deal favored India and Brazil over China. So, China shut down the global economy that they had been dominating for decades. What is so far fetched about that? You think the virus just evolved in a bowl of bat soup?

Viruses do evolve, and a lot quicker than people.
you make it sound like it’s this one virus that’s been waiting in the wings to make the jump.
zoonotic transmission happens more often than you might think (especially when people eat animals that eat meat- eg wild cats, monkeys etc as the pathogens can survive digestion... combined with sun curing the meat instead of cooking)
it’s only when the virus is particularly nasty and transmissible that it gets noticed.

But, there is no evidence of it's natural occurrence in bat populations and unlikely that nature would present the need for a radicle protein spike meant for the human respiratory system out of nowhere. That would be like if an ice age came on suddenly and all of a sudden a baby is born with dense seal fur. Evolutionary biology is an interesting subject. But, it simply does not ever happen that way and that is why there is not a single natural example to compare the emergence of COVID-19 to, except maybe for AIDS, which was also a laboratory created bioweapon (blamed on bushmeat in order to play into western concepts of 'primitive' third world jungle folk behaviors).
