You have a lot of great advice here. I wouldnt worry too much about it. Sounds like if he did see them and had an idea what they were he brought up the joke just to clear the air and let you know alls good in the neighborhood. Keep your cool. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and overall safety for you and your family is priority #1. I start my seedlings right on my back deck right next to all of the veggies. I dont grow here where I stay besides starting seeds. Theyre seen on occasion and youd be surprised how many ppl dont even know what they are. My close friends in the know will notice, but I dont worry about them. Others sometimes ask what they are and have no idea. I usually reply with herbs as I also grow basil, parsley, etc..These are all for guerilla grows and are grown out far from my property.

Its a tough situation man, if hes cool, like you make him out to sound, then he probably just joked to feel you out, and hopefully will respect that you dont want to talk about it. If you feel like hes a talker, then you might need to have a bit of a conversation with him. Unfortunately life happens and the "No tell" montra, though exeptionally wise, will rarely fit into practice for most of us with neighbors, families, and everyday life going on around us. best thing you can do is be kind and dont make waves. Good luck man, i do not envy your spot, I know how that feels.

Well, i hope hes not a talker so i can get way without having a conversation. Have some of you had experience with a "talker" that suddenly saw something? He in himself I`m not so worried about. More that if he opens hes mouth and make rumors about it. Again, small town. Would be awkward if I suddenly saw strangers sniffing around.... I have 50+kg dog that might help he he...
What are peoples plan against rumors and people talking? I know ofcourse this stuff shouldnt happen, info getting out...

I grew in a small town once..thing is I also sold there...people talk..your best bet is never let anyone know you grow ..you get it from someone else...never show fresh buds ,your grow ect...people always suspected I grew but I never showed my hand to anyone but my business partner and even he was just backup when needed...yeehaw..remember friend have fights ,,neighbors call cops ect..your on your own ...even when legal theres still rippers /robbers...

One of the reasons I haven't put up outdoor lights on clones. It's super visible from the road so anybody driving by can see, plants on the deck.

But I wasn't smart/motivated enough to move the action out behind the garage - could have had a light and still started my plants early - and maintained stealth.

I lost about 10 clones - they went into this 'lock-up' where they JUST WANTED TO FLOWER. Wouldn't go back into veg. So far only one, that got put out early, managed the start-flowering-then-go-back to veg situation.

Moved one of them into a 60 watt 12/12 area indoors - Phantom Cookies from GDP seeds - WHAM !!!

I swear, HORMONES ! Plant hormones that is. Instant explosion of pistils. She wanted to flower, not veg.

no tresspassing signs up on all 4 points of your property and verbal warnings to him.
otherwise yes, he is nosey and I would be very very very careful.
me 40+yrs growing can say he is a security risk big time.
several posters are extremely gulible and have no clue about security.
Shut your property down, straight up stay away from him or you will be in trouble.
Neighbors are not to be trusted especially if you are new in the area.

Thanks for all advices, yes i been warned, but I`m truckin on! We have been working together today, hes women even gave us lunsj! so yeah, I`m like, right on, take it slow dont show shit, play it cool, try to play everyone... And I`m..? If he doesnt lay it of( If he even know something!? feel like a schitzo... haha) then i need to take a talk... Not before he show something or I hear something somewhere else...!!! After his suggest we are actually working later right near the place, hopefully he would take a tour bye himself an se that its not weed it something else!!

In other words, I feel comfortabel with what my planes are at the moment... Plans change suddenly, maybe for the good? Maybe I played too high.... Maybe I can see it as a warning?
