Oh yea William Orbit & Beth great combo he's anuta accomplished composer.

I'm sure Madrus Rose has many such "rareified" nites:party:

For a while we had some good times on hollywoods & other capitalist $$$ when i was doin those parties i worked for a company that built the exibition stands and decorated for parties in Cannes the film festivel was the big one with the most decadent parties. Decadent but not always pretensious the stars were rarely there its just people who work in the industry and they're usually stressed about work n ready ta profit from the excess of hollywood by avin it... The parties are all free maybe 50 parties a night for 12 daze alot of drop 1 mil coz they want everybody talkin bout their party the next day. The barefoot lady was responsable for the whole gig but didn't pay, the 1 mil just got thrown on the Gladiator tab. Not hard ta ave fun in this setting but it's not what gets Deep in our Souls, like NYE with Furthur now is it...

The Gladiator party was at Elizabeth Taylor's Chateau always on hire for parties at film fest, i dj'd a few gigs in that chateau and other venues, i did local gigs non event related as well ya know the locals into the music "techno" scene these later parties had more posers and wankers than the Chateau parties.

Since we're reminisce'n a classic

Just caught an entire 2 1/2min segment of NYC - CSI on TNT , that had William Orbit's "Water From Vine Leaf " from Strange Cargo accompanying the action all the way out to the break .

They were all working in the crime lab peering into microscopes , running tests etc with no dialogue ...just Orbit's "Vine Leaf" filling in the background . That show has some of the most quality consistent mood-enhancing tracks more than most on the tube . Rare to be watching cable show & finding myself having to crank up the volume but with Orbit it sounded far beyond the pale for series show. CSI is a one great music fest really with lots of great background music ...though rarely watch .

With music like this not hard to see why NY CSI recieved highest-rated show status ...a mega hit series. Very smart producers , hard to miss on a crime series with Gary Sinise & Melina Kanakaredes ...
and with The Who's -->Baba O'Riley as the theme song . ;)

its nice gsf , but scary. find myself in an endless dilemna thats trying ...listen to this am splintered & shattered in shards all over infinite creation , & not pleasantly so ...terrifyingly claustrophobic . Cannot for the life of me escape this waking nightmare that am eternally caught up in the most endless repeat loop of some swank eyelash or perfume commercial and being pursued by anorexic plastic digital manikins ...& would sell my very soul to escape into silent oblivion just to be free of them .

its terrifyingly repetitive ...torturingly so ..ahhhhhhhhhh .

there's just got to be some real drums somewhere, played by human hands , i gasp ...please i yell , let me be flesh & blood again & out of this Tron world of no materialty ...even the voice sounds manikin & robotic ...not heaven but this is hell but thanks for sharing.. he/i lay weeping ,gasping...dying for real air . And he sucumbed & expired reduced by this to an embedded code who was once a man . Please don;t even play this at my funeral/shredding /deleting ...let me die/rest in peace . In my next life i promise to be good , just don't make me listen to this ever again unless trapped in an elevator with no air ! ;)

*** try Shpongle we discovered over on the Bass Nectar thread , lil beyond & great ...ur still left with everything human after listening & soul not turned to recycled digital plastic bits & bytes ..there's human dimension in this electronica..real flesh & blood , rael hands on drums , real voices .

As majestic & real awe inspiring as a solar eclipse . And the passionate desire for a return to light ...but then u find the night is as beautiful too with heart beat of its own

This is nice too ,( unless u hate diggery doos !)

I can understand where you are coming from, but the reason I listen to electronic music has nothing to do with my body.

It has to do with my mind, my consciousness, and my soul.

Music and rhythm are personal things, and what may make you "vibe" or " feel alive " may not be what makes me or anyone else do the same.

I do understand that some people may have a particular sensitivity to non-organic music, but you must understand that to some it is one of the most truest expressions of our higher selves.

To me the fact that there is really nothing in this physical world to hinder our imagination with the sounds used in the art, is what makes it so great.

009 Sound System - Beat of the moment ....its nice to begin with, love the skip~hop beat but as it moves on the repetiveness turns sort of "eerie" ....my ears feel that sense of breathing , expanding contracting spatial distortion that often comes so subtly & powerfully with effects lsd ....but not quite .
They're trying & only almost succeeding ..

Its not quite beautiful enough to be so repetitive & does get a bit wearing ...but is sort of growing on me now in a strange eerie way . This would be a great mood-piece in one segment of a good drama series or movie . But for being that long could really imagine some more rich embellishments fractally evolving in & around & behind in the periphery of the piece . Just a little more whizz~bang ...some shooting stars & scintillations ...the intimation of the rush of spring mountain waters ...the sunrise or a moonset , rustle of leaves on the breeze. Infinite starry skies behind , a flight of birds ,gazells running on the plain...the look of love letting itself fly into an exploding sky ...etc .

Just ... little more bang for the buck ! :biglaugh:

ps : Do bet ya this piece does end up selling some cosmetics, lingerie. lipstick ... or sexy coupe car ! Prolly in Euro it already has , lol.

everything on the track including the sax .

Just found this dude Charles Schilling on slsk and am lovin his sound. Brings the old school funk. I think he's from France. The French seem to always be bringing the new disco sound.

Gotta make my way back through the thread, seems you dudes posted up some good stuff. Give me some deep funky house recommendations...

here frank , they (Evian) app'd 009 sound system's "beat of the moment" for a an Evian commercial apparently ...& the Dancing Babies are back !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFR7hUpmJv4&feature=fvwrel

In chorus line no less , most of the posters are really creeped out by
this ...like i was at first but the dancing babies just about caps it ! lol

(was wrong , thought for sure "beat of the moment" would end up selling Audi's or
masquera/lipstick)
