WOW!!!why havent i noticed this until now..
That strain selection is not to be messed with..I always enjoy lurkin a both of u guys threads, but this is gonna be spectacular!! Vend i hope u made the trip down there safe and that u had enough hash for the trip..a shame we never met up, but who knows..i might visit spain sometime.
Im definately pullin out a chair and keepin the lotion and wet wipes within range lol...
at the moment it seems luck is not going in our way im afraid hehe the heat is causing great problems with the germination - only half of the seeds have made it - it seems the extreme temps we got the last few days in the heat-wave just rotted the poor bastards as soon as they got out of their shells.
we got more seeds so it isnt really that big of a trouble - and the clones are a really good back-up
anyway - in a few days we will do a re-count to see wich made it ok and wich not. surelly some good genes were lost. but no big thing really.
Sorry your having trouble germing, the lowryder hybrids always germ slow I found. Often I`ve had to file the edges of the seed to have them open. I`m crossing all my limbs you get as many as you can.
holligong - the seeds doo open - but the problem is the high heat just makes them suffocate and die. never ever sprouted seeds this time of year - seems to be better not to hehe - its around 40 degrees here now and its getting hotter hehe
we are going to recieve a few new crosses for our collection when i know more i will let ya all know.
the summer seed planting has been push forward - since the first round ALL went bad - this is something new for us - never ever had 100% problems with all strains planted - the only thing it can be is the temps.
we really value the seeds we have and we have decided to wait untill the worst part of the heat has passed, or untill we get a new spot with other conditions.
untill that we are concentrating on the PTK crosses.
we have seen an interesting fenomenon on the late pheno of SSH x PTK - the haze genes are showing with the heat -there is some really funny looking fox-tailing going on. huge airy buds - very interesting since this one was much more compact during the winter grow.
same plant flowering during winter with "normal" (optimal conditions) grow temps.
BTW - we are expecting a new heat wave soon with temps going up about 5-8 degrees celsius more.
