That wasn't the media that lied about weapons of mass destruction, they were simply reporting what the government said at the time.
Regarding the rest, I can't agree.
Media outlets will have their own "spin" on events, and you need to read with that in mind, but the actual events happened pretty much as reported. Some media outlets are government parrots and supporters, others are more ethical. You can't lump all mainstream media with having the same intent.
