Old TrumpDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O,
And on his farm he had a pig, E-I-E-I-O,
With an oink-oink here and an oink-oink there,
Here an oink,
there an oink,
everywhere oink-oink,
Old TrumpDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O

well guys, as far as I know we are at war now

You are sounding more reasonable with every response.

I’m on his ignore list. I don’t contribute anything to his liking.

One of those people who stirs the shit pot in their echo chamber and serves it up for the idiots who he “allows” to join him.

He’s bagging on fools and they’ll allow it because they too are malcontents 😂

"Canada essentially allows two avenues for dairy imports -- those within quota, and surplus stuff. It’s the latter where tariffs spike, because Canada’s whole system is built to avoid a surplus -- hence its name, “supply management.”

Take milk, for instance. Within quota, the tariff is 7.5%. Over-quota milk faces a 241% tariff. Other over-quota rates include blended dairy powder at 270%. Duties rise to as high as 314% for other products, according to data from the World Trade Organization. Canadian officials argue that all countries subsidize dairy, including the U.S. -- Canada essentially does so indirectly by closing its borders and capping production. If you’ve got a slice of the quota, though, the tariffs don’t apply. And Canada has given up slices of its market in trade talks. (Including in the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal that Trump quit.)"

The entire Nation seems to routinely suffer political amnesia, forgetting who has fucked them for the preceding election term. Or simply forgiving it as a matter of course. Or voting for those people simply because of gullibility toward lies and empty promises and the color of the partisan jersey worn by the stuffed shirts.

We're (as stated before) a primarily non-partisan State here, but mostly a Trump state recently... up until he and his President non-elect abruptly grabbed meals, heat, and rent from the tables of otherwise successful federal employees, leaving them virtually no safety net or warning in advance, and adding insult to injury by lying about their performance in order to legally cover their asses at DOGE.

And those people are in the streets here now. Nearly every day this week. More and more of them.

And that won't be apt to be erased from their minds by the more generic political amnesia. Trump is cutting his own throat by harming and offending many of his- former- supporters here. (Check our local paper(s)).

And even retired pacifist university professors and others, who are typically fairly meek in their speech, believe the only way this will get resolved is through violence. I've spoken with several of them recently... this week.

The pot is boiling.

The truth of the matter is that the Canadian dairy industry is one of the biggest spenders lobbying in Ottawa
giving them a monopoly in the Canadian market allowing them to grossly overcharge consumers for generations.
They are just one of many Canadians have some of the most expensive telecommunications and internet in the world also.
The level of corruption in our Canadian government makes third world dictators green with envy.

These same politics are used in many other countries, and their objective is (supposedly) to defend the country's industrial interests. For example France encourages the consumption of national products and it is difficult to find foreign products in, for example, all the national, provincial or municipal kitchens for schools, universities, etc.

I don't find that specially outraging. If we opened our doors 100% to global markets, most of occidental countries would collapse.

I don't know how bad it is in Canada, and at what point the citizen's interests are harmed. But what happens in the USA is lobbying at its worse, since AIPAC is not defending any national industry or interest, but some interests that are foreign, that are partial, and that are against the interests of American people.

Let's see what happens. Will the coup thrive? Can American institutions fight against it and win?

Will be a comeback to the former status quo possible? Isn't the society extremely divided for a non-violent evolution?

It's been a month since I started this thread and I don't see any real answer to the coup. American Justice is slow and it runs the risk to be dismantled, all the heads being replaced by Trump/Musk minions, before really doing anything.

And at the same time, nobody could stop the biggest moron in the world, a guy who has no contractual relation with the American administration, who keeps rummaging and breaking through all the State machinery. Wouldn't it be too late to repair what he has broken?

If I saw a fucking prick like the piece of shit Melon is, destroying the mechanisms of my nation and the future of my country, my blood would boil. The bastard is lying, stealing, breaking the State and fucking American asses with joy. Maybe it is my Spanish passionate nature and WASPs don't feel like that, but I would really enjoy to see that narcissistic piece of shit dead and hanging upside down.
