In one of the recent pot documentaries, they interviewed a grower who had been recently busted. This dumbass had the local tv news come in and film his grow for a feature they were doing. The head of the DEA in that area saw the piece and promptly raided the dude, saying something to the effect of "What am I suppose to do when a citizen blatently breaks the law and documents it on the evening news?".

My point is that we need to be somewhat descrete. Rubbing it in their faces, or doing shit that has other citizens filing complaints isn't a smart practice. Know what I'm sayin?

With so many people now having medical marijuana cards/prescriptions I doubt if they have enough people to sort out who on these forums are legal and who aren't. I didn't feel comfortable posting until I was legal. After the CW mess years ago I stayed away for years.

got a source? i cant find shit about it in the news cept a report from feb 2010 saying the president extended it so it doesnt expire.

for one year, the report is from 2/27/10 so it will need to be renewed again in 2 weeks.

according to this it doesnt expire till the 28th, the only thing that expired was congress doing some early vote sponsored by republicans to extend 3 sections of the patriot act.

This is all cool and I love this site. It is a fun place to chit chat with stoners, learn and teach. But if you are not properly documented you are a felon if you grow any weed at all, even in medical states like Washington or Oregon. You have to be documented and you have to follow the rules. You do not know what or how the law can get information about someone somewhere down the line, and if you put enough on here it could be used for probable cause to get a warrant. The rules on law change all the time, and the patriot act is a awesome example of what the government can do when they deem it a necessity and the way they can abuse that new power once they get it. There is a lot of money in law enforcement, and believe it or not it is a numbers game. I seen a 1-800 number in a jail booking area yesterday with a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a grower. I just spent 60 days in jail with men that had felony marijuana charges. The cops want to fill up jails and they want to seize property and with budget cuts in states and county governments being at all time highs the police are like hungry sharks to protect their jobs and their overtime (that they have become dependent on).

I am not here to rain on any parade and this site has probably been in operation for many years without any problems, but anything can happen. People need to protect their identity if they are committing a felony. You think of the guy that sells bud... How many people does he or she deal with? How many loose lips are out there about your future, your liberty and your security. Showing a grow is probably safe if you don't show pictures of your mail or something next to a plant... But you never know when a certain government official is going to get a hardon for MJ because someone he knows was shot in a robbery or hit by a "drunken" driver. Going after a server or whatever they need. In the case of the cocaine dealer in Colombia Pablo Escabar we had American troops, CIA and sophisticated military technology used to hunt and execute him. And that is a fact.

I would be more concerned with hackers(and im not terribly concerned) then cops from posting grow pics on this site. There are a LOT of decent cops who actually follow the laws. Not only would you have to break laws to obtain a users IP address but you would also need a decent amount of computer skill as well. Its alot easier for cops to turn some young buck or old timer who doesn't want to go back. If people don't know you grow its pretty hard to get busted if you follow a few rules and have a decent amount of common sense.

For me I am always paranoid about the septic inspector. Thankfully the last few times he has came in the spring when all you can smell around my grow is shit.
