Just wait till someone brings a top-loader to the them Himalaya hills and some filter bags.. I've sampled, luckily, some of the finest charas (looks like that ethanol extract and has to be used out of the freezer, translucent and amber )and Moroccan 00 available (I'm just lucky and don't get to travel but have very well travelled friends) and comparing it , chillum by chillum, side by side to the cheese bubble that came out 'da fuzzy logic' t,here is no compare, 'cept for 'super cream' which comes close but is not from same genetics and still looses out.... I know what I'll pack. The future is here... Ice is plentiful in Parvati in winter, someones gotta do it sometime ?!

Fuzzy logic... do it... LOL!

there is at least one grower in parvatti who is already using bubble bags. i was stunned when he told me about it. fucking nowhere, no electricity n shit BUT they know how to bubble :D

loved that purple charras stuff he offered.

Thats where bubble came from... Icy winter mornings, water left out overnight, it is old school apparently. Gumby'in in the hills before we were alive!

I've seen purple 'cream' before, what a treat!

Bom Shiva!

I got some tasmanian opium poppy seed from reeferman I can't wait to make opiated temple balls and then chew some khat leaves in the morning. GOOD TIMES!

I'll put some parvati landrace indica seeds up for auction when seedbay comes back.

There is no Indica in the Parvati valley that I have seen and I spend 8 seasons making chars in the Parvati and Malana valley. Never saw an Indica

I have also been making charas in Nepal, and NO plants do not reveg naturally in Nepal or ever whenever, would go against nature, you do that only in a grow room and it is a pain to make happen.
Total myth here sorry to break it for you. l

^ The man knows his stuff, it's all sativas. Too cold for revegging in Himachal and Nepal too!

I also like charras very very much. In fact I'm heading to Northern India in October to catch up with charras season.
There are actually villages where whole families produce charras. Its seasonal though. October is the right time to visit.

There are actually whole villages doing the production, not just only a few family, ALL OF THEM.

I really have to disagree on the color of chars with most of you, I have had everyday for 8 seasons the most amazing colors in my hands, AND IT WAS NOT BLACK.
Charas may be on the dark side, almost black outside, but even average quality is NEVER black inside and the Creme even less so.
Also you cannot make Charas from dried buds, you are making hashish with dried buds. The fact that you collect trichomes at their peak on a living plant make it so special.
You can find Charas most everywhere but nowhere but India and Nepal it is a main form of process. Every other producing countries may ,make some at family level, but it will never be for sale
India is truly the only place on earth that export quality Charas with Nepal.

Familiar with poppy. Can you tell me a little about khat. Never heard of it.

You cannot do the bags in India, trust me on that one, I know/knew the Parvati and Malana valleys better than my backyard. You will never be able to dry properly.
Also you have never made Charas I would bet on it because what you have on your hand is not what you find in your bag. Different product altogether

Exactly, Its about the cure and the live THC that is extracted that makes it so special. One cannot replace a method of making charas in such a region for thousands of years. Not going to happen! It is in the practice of Hinduism. It will never leave! You cannot even compare bubblehash to charas unless you have had a chance to visit and explore the creams and highest quality of charas.

This thread (and many other dozens of them) should be moved to the Hashish forum where it belongs.....this problem was caused when the Hashish forum was divided into Concentrates (for oil derived from chemical extractions) and Hashish (for actual hashish whether it is made with Bubblebags, dry sifted or hand rubbed)...but instead of having the Concentrate forum as a sub heading, the Hashish forum was relegated to a sub section starting with zero posts but all the many years of dry sift, ice water and charas threads were lost in depths of petrochemical extractions......I guess the only way to fix this would be to go through each and every thread in the Concentrates forum and move the Hashish threads to where they should be.

You will never be able to dry properly.

I haven't been up there, but I do live in a high humidity environment....so I would suggest that even in a dirt floor hut high up in the Himalayas it can be done...with the use of metal strainer so it breaks up into a fine crumble and with warm stones near the fire to slowly dry it out.

It is called a dehumidifier.. you plug it in and voila, a room with dry air. I have explored the creams and conclude that your hands are not an effective extraction or separation means contrary to how "holy" it is. You cannot separate impurities effectively, you just end up with a homogenous good product that is very wasteful and incredibly labour intensive. Another thing...those in the hills there, could you enlighten us as to normal toilet procedures up there..just sayin.. One hand to eat and one to wipe and how many hands does it take to make charas? I'll take the frozen spring water variety thanks. Its more "halaal" or "kosher" to me than some guys poo and skin cells Lol

charas. is another name for finger hash pretty much.. except your using your entire hands to molest buds .. and then collect.. best way is use gloves.. and put into freezer to collect..

its not bad.. you do this with fresh buds.. and u usually just rip off all the fans.. and the parts of the sugar leaves with no trichs.. and then put buds in hands and kinda roll it around lightly.. do it to hard and u release chlorophyll and the hash is nasttyy

and ya.. anything made elsewere and not by YOURSELF.. isnt worth smoking lol.. too much nasty shit.. thats why we use Gloves.

HAHAHA, I love your genuine response. Western world vs eastern world. I mean what do we really walk on , the top most layer of the earth? Its decomposed "shit," plant shit, shit from organisms, etc...... You learn to be one with the shit if you have had the experience/opportunity to go to India , or to even be Indian perhaps. I love it. Its all about the balance though right, the holy shit. hahah get it? Charas. Long live....

Certain cultures hold values, and it takes an educated person to even understand how the world is changing. Understanding cultures is about understanding humans and their customs. That is what cannabis is about anyways right? How cannabis plays a role in almost all cultures.

I also remember when I was there last , the most expensive charas in the village came from one of the oldest members there, and them claiming it's because of his methods and experience that made it the highest of quality ( minimal plant matter) and would charge the most for it. I have seen many samples and varieties from Parvati , Kullu Valley . I can tell you that 80 percent of it is shit, or not up to western standards. But the gold, charas cream, uncut holy shit is the most unique experience I have ever had with cannabis. Very much like a CBD , overtaken by Shiva, meditative, relaxing, wake up the next morning with no hangover asking yourself did I even puff last night?? That is how clean it is!!! Oh yeah the best charas is after a season cure in the mountainside all sealed up, covered with earth "shit." They also clean their hands before making charas. I remember One time a child brought me some charas in a leaf, and I did not accept the quality. He told me he had to go put it away, then wash his hands before he went back into his house out of respect for the plant of Holy Shiva and his family. This is understanding how cannabis is supposed to be treated. Not with cheetos and a soda watching tv, dissolving the brain. This is not meditation. This is death of the introspective mind, consciousness. This is the only way humans will be able to survive. Opening consciousness within ourselves, and in others to find real meaning in life.

Peace

Weird to have Shiva in a thread about cannabis, you have never heard of Shivariati in Nepal when all of the sadhus come to pashnupati to smoke Hash...
