G.A. is a happy man and keeps on smiling!!

Today the Canna Embassy got the green light for the demo-happening coming thursday at the governement building square!!
I went to Juize FM tonight, a R&B national radio station and answered questions of young listeners that emailed questions to the radio station about weed and hasj and the law according to this issue.
Those kids aren't stupid!!
I also anounced the happening of coming thursday.
There will be a big stage of 8 meters wide and 4, or 5 dj's will play their beat and several cannabis organisations and "green" politicians will keep their speeches there.
At the stage will be hanging a huge banner with the slogan :
"A content smoker is no trouble maker"... It's an old Dutch slogan "Een tevreden roker is geen onruststoker".
My greatgrandfather already used that slogan!

At both sides of the stage will be 2 giant fake joints and 2 smoke machines will blow smoke out of the giant joints.
The real joints will hopefully go around that afternoon at the governement square.

With this post a picture of the governement square and DJ Jeff at the studio with a "Green Ambassador" gift.

I am looking forward to the happening coming thirsday....

The balance between quality and quantity...

Take care folks and stay safe, wherever you are, whatever you do...

Love this thread, just like to say how nice to see the spirit of protest alive & well in the Netherlands. Shame on UK we are asleep. The right to protest near Houses of Commons (birthplace of democracy) has been banned. WAKE UP UK. They will take our freedom while we sleep.

thanks for reminding me.

Hello world....

The day before...
Today I had a talk with the police about the permitt to demonstrate tomorrow.
It's not aloud since a couple of years to smoke joints and drink alcohol in public and they became very strict in this.
So people who like to smoke a joint have to go to coffeeshop the Hut across the square, that's the closest, 1 minute walk.
Till july we still can smoke overhere in public places (coffeeshops, pubs and some restaurants).
At the airport you can't even smoke in the bars and coffeeshops anymore.
There are not even alternatives, like in Denmark where you have places special made for smokers at the airport...
The politicians here are just throwing dirt at the moment.
No political party stood up to speak out at the square tomorrow, even after inviting.
Nobody wants to burn their fingers on this issue.
The heroes of today...
The only national party that was so polite to respond was the Green party, but because this manifestation was a short term at the moment organised manifestation, their agenda was booked full.
It needed a lot of creative energy and compassionated people to realize this manifestation.
There will be a big stage with dj equitment and 3 dj's..
DJ Rodney can't come he has to work... People still like to smoke.. lol
On both sides of the stage 2 meter big fake joints, that will blow big clouds of smoke.. (made by a local artist called Patrick). The 2 big joints are even mentioned in the permittence for the manifestation... lol.
The Platform Cannabisondernemingen and the Cannabis Collgege from Amsterdam will keep a speech.
Te rest of the 2 hour happening we will dance and having fun.
Jeffrey Enser of Juize FM will be the main speaker tomorrow.
I hope the weather gods will be with us...
The happening starts tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm at "Het Plein" (The Square) near the governement building, 5 minutes walk from The Hague Central station.
It will go on till 4 pm.
I hope a lot off people will take a day of to defend and stand up for their
"Basic human rights" and be there on that square tomorrow at 2 pm.
I asked all the people to wear purple, green, or orange clothes...
I hope it will be a colorfull dancing wave at that square tomorrow....

I agree people who prefer non smoking deserves their smoke-free space.
We as happy smokers deserve our "happy smok'in place" ...
Is that too much trouble"??

I can't upload my pics to the forum at the moment.
I will take pictures at the happening tomorrow and hope I can share them with you later.

We won't "smoke them out" tomorrow, but I hope some politicians will join the "happy smoke" and dance at that square tomorrow...

"Intergration", the coffeeshop is a place where they don't talk about it, people just come together and mingle, having a good time together, enjoying the sweet herb.

"LEGALIZE IT"....

Peace, G.A.

Hello world,

The happening yesterday looked more like a "private party" then a big manifestation.
During the whole afternoon around "only" 30 people showed up.
The stage was great, miss Brown was making us dance. We had to move a little, because it was very cold at the square...
At the beginning of the demo the police checked miss "Emerald Goddess", medical user and organic grower for own medical use. After she showed her medical permitt, she could smoke on her herb.
I realy like to thank Henk Poncin, one of the founders and spokesman for the Cannabis Collge.
He realy stood up for the smokers and coffeeshops and pointed out the short sighted mind of the politics
He made the total political situation and concequenses clear in a brillant way.
It's only a pitty the Platform Cannabisondernemingen Netherlands didn't want to speak out. Argument... Not enough people to speak to.
What about the coffeeshopowners (members of the PCN) that came from far away?
They had a long drive in the car and the train to get there!!
I thank every single soul that was there at the square yesterday, either they spoke out, or not.
Because we were located at the governement square, some politicians were walking by, some looking away and walking on, others smiled.
One politician I shooked hands with smiled and said: "Darpan it's the quality that counts". That's my man... lol

At the end miss Brown was playing nice funky beats.
Drinking some hot chocolate dancing at the stage.

Finaly after the demo we went to Café Cremers to have a nice cup of coffee and a smoke...

Thanks to all friends and organisations that made the "happening" possible...

I learned a lot from this event.....
The sweet song goes on......
Keep on growing, take care and stay safe folks...

Keep the lighter burning....

Hi Ilijah,

Dropped you a pm.

Latest new: Coffeeshops Maastricht got a 3 year's licence to open up coffeeshops near the border.

Will it be the end of the shops, or a new beginning?

2011 is exactly the year The Netherlands will become President of the European Parlement!

Back to life, back to reality...

People that have visited the Canna Embassy know that it's located at a very busy road.
Before 25.000 cars and bussess a day were driving by.
It was one of the most enviroment poluting roads of the Netherlands before, specialy the so called "fine dust" was a big problem.
Not only here, but all over Europe the fine dust became a big issue.
People asked me: "Aren't you happy, no cars for 2 months"?

I am happy, but not because the road is closed down for 2 months..

Now the street looks like a war zone.
The construction workers start drilling in the morning at 6 am and sometimes go on till 7 pm at night, so I get a free foot massage when I come home... lol

Looking forward to springtime to put some seeds in the soil again...

This year 25 years of homegrowing and 15 years Purple Peace...

This year I will grow some Purple Peace and Afghan Peace...

That's what the world can use now... PEACE!!

Over 2000 years, over 3000 wars, it looks like we all became grave diggers...

At the centre of the cyclone....

Really? I wasn't aware that happened. And it is not something that would be in the news here. But I used to check out Alex Jones online and saw a man protest where he had the right to but apparently that is no longer possible there.

Greetings Darpan

It's a nice (and LONG!) thread you got here :joint: I had checked it a few times, but never really posted.

Much respect for the work of the Canna Embasy :rasta: It's surprincing that in the NL, where most people take the right to smoke cannabis as granted, it's sometimes debated. I remember reading something about the police in Amsterdam not being allowed to smoke off duty, and some complaints coming from that.

About me, outdoor grower, in a latitude close to yours :smoke:

Take care, enjoy the lack of cars/noise/small particles in the air, the delights of Karma Gens and the visit of our danske freunds

It is debated regularly. There are always forces, typically christian parties, that have trouble with the policies as they are. We have usually a government of 2 or 3 parties that form a majority. Always the CDA or Christian democrats are in power. Mostly they are balanced by Labor or another liberal or tolerant party.
However, negotiations to form a government this time for the CDA to be in power they needed the Christian Union to get to a majority and Labor is also included. So this time we have 2 christian parties in power.

And you know what that means. They are of course against our drug policy. They use bad arguments that are nonsense to lie to the unaware public about our position in Europe.

despite the true facts of the success of our drug plicies it is hyped to say that it has failed. Because if they can get away with that lie there is cause and support for policies to be changed.

There is pressure from the EU, who refuse to acknwoledge we got it right with our low rates of criminality involved and youth smoking marijuana. So they keep repressing it and blame us and some of our cities for luring their youth to buy weed here in coffeeshops, causing criminal behavor and what not.

Soon they will label pot smokers 'terrorists' like is the latest hype...because everyone is against a terrorist and there would be no opposition against draconic measures and policy changes.

I am very much afraid.

The trend in the world is oppression now thanks to the usa and their rampaging around the world. Freedom is second to losing privacy and 'safety'. Even though we are safe enough, the terrorist hype and lies are used to make us want ask the leaders what they like to hear us ask.

This means that freedoms will be canceled more and more. If you are politically aware and do not have your stoned head up your asses, you notice these things as well.

So, our drug policies are likely to be dismantled piece by piece. Thanks to christians, the Dutch people in general becoming less and less tolerant both to immigrants as well as any other person who has a right that they do not care about, like smoking weed. They don't care and so they support laws and regulations that take awat our rights because it makes no difference to them.

To many these days, someones freedom is regarded as their own restrictions. They don't want restrictions, so they are petty and don't like another person enjoy their freedom.

Bit by bit our policies are changed. First it was less coffeeshops per municipality. Now, despite it is nonsense, c-shops cannot be around schools. As if kids on mopeds would not go a mile father away to buy it...even though they can't enter a c-shop under 18.

Then border towns and cities are under pressure because of other nations around us.

The latest thing is that it is unhealthy to smoke it. despite reports that in fact it is not half as bad as those forces claim it to be. despite our recognition that smoking is abd and that we should use bongs and vaporizers.

And then there is the addiction card being drawn. Weed is after 40 years more addictive than ever it seems. I think this is bogus. I think people who are addicted are ften mentally ill people or those who have not yet been diagnosed with something and are in fact self-medicating. The other thing is that an addiction clinic can get subsidies to that addicted people. The more addicted people, the more they can get. So it is in their interest to exaggerate addiction of marijuana.

And last but not least the card is pulled that there is so muc more THC content in weed these days. As if a smoker would smoke the same while we know that if THC percentages are high we smoke less of the weed. And that tha in turn is healthier in terms of inhaling bad stuff.

I foresee that this government will successfully get support in our changing population that is self centered and egotistic and paranoid about others' freedoms will destroy what remains of our drug policy.

Oh, and of course there is the crime aspect they bring in. That the trade is organsied crime causing millions to be whitewhased using real estate purchases. And that in turn this leads to assassinations in our crime world.

This leads to the idea that we need to attack more and more the growers, large and small scale.

So I bet that whoever has 5 plants, which is allowed, will soon face a situation of criminal prosecution rather than losing their plants and getting away with it.

The christians, thsoe who suck up to america, who were also in favor of invading Iraq, are forcing us into a system of doing as america does.

america is like a mold on a marijuana plant. its evil spreads throughout the world, causing fears for terror that are used by governments to attack their own people in search of control and obedience and the perfect economy of mindless drones and slaves, to create the perfect controllable society where all risks are minimized at the cost of freedom for all.

That is why my mood is angry these days.

And why I advise americans to not come if they cannot behave, do weed and shrooms and panic, be taken to hospital, to increase the statistics the government uses to exclaim that weed and shrooms are dangerous and that to avoid america becoming mad at us for our defiance of their doctrine, we should illegalize weed, shrooms and if they can, life itself.
