Autumn realy started.
Today was 13 degrees, stormy and rain for most part of the day.
It looks like it doesn't change the coming days.
Start of the harvest today..
Nice to see our Muslim friends getting a mention G.A, not eneough stuff on these boards from the Lebanon Morrocco Pakistan Afghanistan etc, & we all owe those guys a debt of gratitude. Back in the seventies we used to get Turkish Pollen, & pressit up ourselves, very blonde, smooth & rare. Nice.
Happy Harvest, you got some nice strains.
cheers.
The harvest has started.
Today I started out with the PP bowl.
I am growing my own 25 years now, but I am still doubting when to harvest. Not afraid to harvest too early, but too late.
Like the Afghan Peace. It looks like she is doubling the thc every day. The hairs start to turn red.
I always harvest when 75% of the hairs are red.
She is looking very nice, very hard buds and smells so good.....
Real nice looking buds there Ga ,and atleast this time none of your plants havegone walk about like lat year .We uslay wait to its about 60 40 or 75 percent ,as you said Ga do you not have a scope then i take it to look at the trics?.As that is really the only true way to tell by looking at the glands.
All the times i have been to your country, i have never been to the hague.Next time i go i must pop there, and check ut the coffie shop you are always on about.Ga when is the high life cup held there.
As i am thinking of coming over for that,is it just for private growers in Holland GA and all the coffie shops?is that how it is different to the high times cup as its all the coffie shops .And not just the ones in the dam.ps nice beads your are just like mine kind of, but mine are purple, as i like that colour alot .Karma you to real nice looking buds there the purple one looks well nice .
You are most welcome.
I know, I had a microscope.
I need a new one, but other priorities at the moment.
The weather changed 360 degrees.
Day temperatures of 11 with heavy wind by day and 4 degrees at night and lots of rain.
Yes HR, last year was a very bad summer, but to me it wasn't that bad at all.
It gave birth to the Afghan Peace and 3 other nice "new" strains.
I am a happy man this year.
Not because of the quantity, but the nice quality.
Balancing quality and quantity that's my challenge in life...
HR, do you mean the High Life, or High Times Cup?
This year there wasn't a High Life Hempfair, but it looks like there was a cup:
seeds on the purple b3n7erdpurt x royal danes are close to optimal matureness. we have cold and rainy weather but i see no mold. these will finish around sep 25 sensimilla style on my lat
Lovely lady there.
I am always doubting when to harvest.
Normaly I will harvest with fool moon, but that's on the 12th of oktober and probably a little too late. We'll see...
This afternoon The Hague local legend and ADO Den Haag hooligan of the first hour, father and grandfather with a green heart, "THe Hague Johnny" will come by the Canna Embassy.
Since a couple of years he runs a growshop with his son Johnny here in The Hague.
He will give his opinion on the 2 ladies and I will make a little "impression clip".
He doesn't speak english, so it will be in Dutch.
Maybe there will be some possibility in the future to subtitle the clip, but first the microscope... lol.
One thing is for sure.
The Purple Peace from the bowl has been harvested already.
Now the other 2 plants are close to harvest.
I can look back on a nice 25th aniversiry of homegrowing
as far the quality goes.
Hopefully I will have one, or 2 more plants next season.
And the question which strain to grow?!
Started to pick the Afghan Peace.
I am very happy with this strain.
Solid hard buds and lot of resins.
She smells very nice.. very Indica...
Back to the "sticky fingers"...
Esben, I am sure you guys are enjoying that party!.
Pitty I couldn't make it, but I am there in "harvest spirit".
Send my love to Paddi, family and friends there.
Preparing the harvestparty for the 19th.
Looks like it becomes a cozy and nice intimate harvestparty.
Deejays, rappers, vaporizers, de Verdamper ("verdampft nochmal" ), friends of the Canna Embassy and surprise guests.
I hope to see some new friends there as well.
"Celebration times come on"...
Wow, she looks lovely and juicy.
Actualy very funny.
I can't tell you if it's the green of the Viking mother, or the Himalayan father, because both parents of the Purple Peace cross back in 1993 were green!!
Purple Peace came from 2 "green" parents.
The adjusted Himalayan and Viking.
25 years of Purple. Purple all around, but except for the Canna Embassy.
Even the neighbours have a purple plant...
But I am very happy with the result of this year's harvest.
No mold on the buds this year, because I brought them indoors before the autumn rains..
I am getting into the harvest...
It's not my most favorite part of the homegrow hobby, but as soon I am into it, it's fine.
Outside cold, dark, windy and raining. Indoor warm, some nice hot chocolat, sticky fingers, sweet smoke, music and the sound of scissors.
Have a nice harvest folks...
A very sentimental moment.
The cutting of the Green Ambassador Queen.
It almost hurts to start cutting the flowers.
She is flowering so gracefully, like a real queen.
Can´t hardly wait till the 19th to vaporize those flowers at the 25th aniversiry of the Canna Embassy Harvest Party..
They smell so sweet..
Working on the Afghan Peace right now...
Keep on growing, take care and stay safe folks wherever you are....
hiya GA
