Some post harvest pics... all of flowers from the doorway plant, cheese... taken at day 62... been drying maybe 23-24 days... the humidity is actually still high for this time of year... about 65% in my flat... buds are dry enough to smoke... steamed on top of the kettle dries them out enough to put them through the grinder... otherwise its just scissors...

The first flower I popped on the scales.... pleasantly surprised...

Some of you may already be aware of this... but I live in a fucked up place... a EC pen here costs R1200... which is $100 as of right now... same price for the pH pen... remember only like three shops this side of the equator... but my two pens are sitting in the above picture, just look, real hard... just the tops of the plant came to 30g... so with the middles and bottoms, maybe an oz and a half a plant... again pleasantly surprised...

Taste is out there unreal.... when I close my eyes I think of "blue" or "dark".... lol.... a little sweet but only just.... but its not rancid either.... like I dont smell it and wanna puke.... quite the opposite really, wanna tape a bud to my nose and walk around like that the whole day... and its real real stong smelling when cut up... cant really hide it.... makes the whole room/car reek...

When I clean a bit more up and have it jarred Ill post some more pics... of the HSO Blue Dream too... but as stands much prefer the cheese... the Blue Dream makes a stupid stone I find... always knocking shit over or forgetting what Im doing... while the cheese I can function.... Im wrecked, but Im still getting shit done, which is strange really, coz I thought it woulda been the other way around... HSO Blue dream for day/work... cheese for night/grow... aint bad though.... lol...

Smelly, congrats on the successful harvest they look great!! Always a great feeling to have full jars of the fruits of your labor, and with your conditions it is def a labor of love . Your story shows that even under the most difficult conditons you can pull a successful grow with a lot of ingenuity and determination and true grit. Once again well done.

@wdi.... bro you know I hate using the right tools for the job... I dont hate it, I hate that I suck at it... I find it difficult to get that "smear" right... its either to thin in diameter or to wide and not long enough in length... I must adShmitt I have never really been shown how to do it by anyone who knows what they doing... its strong... but a boiler maker would think a blind mans done it, lol...

@Mirac... hey brah... was actually hoping someone would chime in on that topic.... the Blue Dream smells rather spicey... I wouldnt say peppery thou... I friend said it smelt a bit like piss... Iv only been smoking bongs... but the smoke is very smooth Id say, like a big hit just doesnt feel "big" in the lungs if you get me... and you can keep on hitting them cause its so smooth.... I get a bit of fruit taste, but only on the exhale... berry berry berry hmmm fuck not so sure.... I get mango and papayas[but not too funky] more like yummy... if any of that makes sense.... Im thinking out aloud here, but in nature you get sweet berries and tart berries... I find it hard to separate the two sometimes.... when I eat strawberries... Ill have three tart ones for every sweet one but the taste of berry is that of depth... is that correct... Id never consider berry anything to be bland....??
I know you into the dj stuff.... so can you educate me a bit in the department of berry tastes....?? The stone is weird... almost makes me stupid.... okay okay, stupider... I cant work out shit after 2-3 bongs of it... where as the cheese I can function... remembering Iv taken plants from 8.5 weeks till just shy 11 weeks... so I got some nice differences between the cheese clone and the HSO Blue Dream s1 I cloned... you can tell Iv just had my friday evening cheese bowl hey..?? i think i got the fg wiped out finally.

i got 2 phenos of dj's bd cross, n one leans heavy toward haze, evergreen. The other pheno is bb structured fat buds with lavender/blue hues, but the berry is still only maybe 30% of the flavor while its still dominated by haze flavors.

the bd cut i got to smoke on was along the lines of how u described urs. Theres a couple bd threads going where people talk about the bd characteristics pretty well.

@Mirac.... thats good to hear. Of your two phenos which one do you prefer? Going on colour, not really any blue to mine whatsoeves... yeah Iv seen a few of the threads... the "identifying the real..." had some really epic pics in it if I recall correctly... of the Real Clone...

I think the overall quality on the evergreen pheno is better. but the bb leaner has all the bag appeal. I think I will keep the evergreen one n search for a better example of the bb pheno in the other 4 packs ive still got.
