Looks like things are coming along as planned and looking great by the way! What I can't believe is how well they are doing with fixed lights! I have always thought that the plants needed the lights close to the tops to decrease veg time and speed growth, but in this case it doesn't seem to make a difference. I guess when you have everything else dialed in correctly it doesn't matter.

In your professional opinion (and I mean that in all honesty) do you think that if the lights were not fixed and were able to be placed closer to the growing shoots, would it make a difference at all for the better or worse?

Thank you for starting this thread as it has been a great wealth of information. I am planning a new grow room about 10 foot by 10 foot and am going to model it after yours, although I usually use soiless mix. The only thing that stuns me is the fixed light situation. I have been growing tree style for years and have always had movable lights. This has really opened my eyes and I thank you greatly! I never would have thought it to be successful without seing it.

I can't wait to see the finished product! Excellent grow, and I'm anxious to see more.

Damn blaze. I wanna be like you when I grow up. :joint: You have got it going on. Looking real GOOD.

I had to stop in and check you out man. Did you buy your DWC system or did you build it yourself? Looks very professional bro. Anyhow, wanted to know if you can tell me if your lines ever clog with that type system?

I am curious because I want to give that type system a go one day but I am a do it yourself type guy and peeps have mentioned that drains get clog in DWC type system and that I would need to be careful. So I thought I would ask about yours. GOOD Show bro! :lurk:

Hehe, check out his signature and also the sticky he has on this forum.

He's using 3/4" return lines and a E/F overfill screen (it's all in this thread and the recirc. DWC tutorial).

Sorry, just wasnt payin attention. But I love the system.

I have a hard time sometime so forgive me and I forget whos done what as I go through a lot of these threads. My eyes tend to go right for the pics ask questions and read last. Its terrible of me. Please forgive me.

The thing is my design would have to be different than blazes cause of my situation. Everyones is a little different and joeshmoe came by last night and we were talkin about different designs. I am not sure if we had the same idea in mind but he wasnt convinced I could overcome clogging of the lines. Thing is, I grow small plants vs joe likes em HUGE like trees you know. So, before I jumped on the wagon I wanted to make sure I wasnt going to run into trouble.

Aww, I didn't mean any of that in a "negative" way... just pointing out where you can find the tutorials. No need to apologize, man! Blaze has an awesome tutorial: So awesome I followed it and built my own nearly identical system... with E/F screens and 3/4" return lines and all.

You know me bro whats mine is yours if i got it!

Well i must admit if i were to have kept te lights closer to the canopy i would ave gotten tighter nodes, As well as higher yeilds, Of coursed fixed lighting isn't the best route, I wouldnt reccomend fixed lighting in most cases, But you have to understand i have 10 new strains, Never grown any of them so for me fixed lighting is a must, How can i keep the lights close if i have a 4ft bush right next to a 3ft bush, The 4ft would get burnt up growing into the lights. It would be pain to move lights every 2 days which to keep em close as fast as they grow when they take off i would have ot raise/lower the lights on light may have ot be higher then another and so on...

So i just went with fixed lighting to make it easy on me.I wont say fixed lighting is better then the normal keep close to canopy method, But i will say results can be had in a fixed lighting room, And for a multiple strain grow room well fixed is best bet! Other then that when i run crops of 1 single strain i keep the light close and raise as they develope but with multiple strain they develope at different rates and makes it quite the task to keep lights close!

Yeah clown town linked you to the right place, Of course everyone's situation is little different and design may vary to fit the needs of each individual grower/space. Nothing wrong with that, Also i have some big girls filling the buckets not all but the bigger girls roots have smashed the buckets rim to rim with roots, And no clogs as of yet everything is rolling smoothly. i dont see any reason to get to worried about the clogs unless you are recirculating with very high pressure it creates a stream pulling roots into the screens and then down into the plumbins, These E&F screens are designed great they help prevent it from creating that stream helping prevent the flow of water from pulling or guiding roots into the plumbing and they block the plumbing a bit so for the most part your pretty safe with the design.

Thanks for answering what questions you could for damakkus i appreciate it!

Thanks for the compliments!

I honestly wish i could brother, The room is so packed it is far to hard to tell whats what, As colas all over and only ones i could possibly identify are te outer ones and even then its a task at the end of the grow i will get pictures of a plant of each strain to show how they performed, There is one strain you will easily be able to point out this week, Its the grand daddy purple it is starting to purple so you can easily see which it is now other then that i cant really lable them it owuld take me hrs and i dont have that long to spare trying to lable pics and cola's :) Stick around though i will get plant shots of each strain at harvest!

Ok guys time for an update, 2 of the plants one directly under the 400 watter and 1 in the back below the 1k are getting a little bleached and burnt just the leafs so not to big of a deal but sure aggrivating, Though not much i can do to prevent it at this point, Other than that everything is developing as you can see, Here they are day 31 12/12!

The ladies are looking awesome bro!

You planning on doing a staggered chop or just clear cut the room at a set date?

Well i am still waiting to decide, It depends on how everything is looking at week 7 if i think i can go to week 9 and harvest some a little late but the rest ontime i will just harvest at 9 weeks, I may have to stagger to get them all at the right times, But if they can all make it 9 weeks then i will be fine picking them all at 9 weeks!

FatherTime Stoned2Death thanks for stopping in!

Fiveminutes late i grow both the urkle and the gdp urkle is in my 2nd room, Imo they are very simular in flavor and potency the urkle has a slight edge in over-all quality imo, But the gdp is much easier quicker grower, And yeilds better from what i have been told, Either of the 2 will make a grower happy!
