woosh is one thing, the turbine whine from a fan is what really makes the noise IMO.
my point is that I'll be able to dial in the same CFM output (if not more) with a 10" than a 6 inch has, with far less noise (from the fan). Even on a low setting, I should be able to dial it in.
Now with the carbon filter, I could go with something smaller I suppose, we'll see, overkill certainly never hurt anyone, though I cannot forget I have to actually put it somewhere. I do like it though, would make it easy to harvest/cure in that room without any smell.
Sun System Super Sun 2 it is then, x2. I'll need to pick up another CMH ballast/light, but that can wait as I said.
I'm also thinking that "insulated ducting" will cut down on "air flow noise" a decent bit.
Now as far as the room itself goes, we're building a large cab inside the closet using plywood. My intention had been to paint the inside of the plywood "flat white" with a couple of coats, though I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better just to line it all in mylar...
Even though mylar is going to cost some money ($20-$30 for 25 ft), so would the paint. With mylar, I don't have to vent paint fumes, and I don't have to let it dry either, plus mylar is likely a tad bit better than "flat white paint".
Is there anything I need to worry about when using mylar? My thought was just to stretch it tight over the plywood and tack it in using thumbtacks.
This is going to get interesting.
My seedlings are looking a little larger, but still tiny. The 2nd real set of leaves are just starting, and the first real leaves are getting larger, they're at the 1 week mark or so. I should really try to post some pics. Looks like I only lost about 5 out of 80 or so seeds, the rest all popped up and are doing well. Though I planted some SkunkxHaze freebies the other day, no idea on when those will pop up. They took about a week to germ in paper towel/plastic bag method, kept them warm and moist too, had to keep replacing the towel/bag for fear of mold/mildew. Finally 2 seeds had cracked after a week, so I planted them all. Should see at least 2 seedlings pop up soon, I hope... these guys are being flowered outside, no way I'm going to keep them indoors.
Watered all of them yesterday for the first time since they popped up, the soil was real real dry, but they didn't look droopy or anything, though they are just seedlings...
gave them the smallest bit of mollases mixed in with the water (by small, I mean real small, dipped my finger tip in lightly, and that's what went in the cup, far less than 1/8th of a teaspoon). They are in propagation trays with individual cells, this will likely be the last watering they get before being transplanted a week or so from now. I'm not exactly sure when to put them in keg cups, I realize they need time to establish roots in the current "cells", but too long in the "cells" and they're rootbound...
Anyways, all is well, and we are moving right along here, thanks for all the help so far guys, will be looking for more and more as time goes on.
Still undecided on a "nutrient" line, but I'm wanting to go organic. The "teas" seem like a good choice, which just means I need to buy the ingredients, guano, kelp, etc etc.
Or I could go pre-made, which seems to be alot more.
