Does the UK Livers have any affiliation or lineage in common with a strain called 'Liver' that smells and tastes spot on just like chopped liver? I went to an access point near seatac in Renton called Lifecross ages ago and they had this nice mellow indica with a truly supercharged pungent terpene profile both bizarre and unique; I wanted to know the source so bad I really loved it, super oddity.

The UK Livers is an old Skunk#1 cut from England. (1989, if I remember correctly) There is a similar cut that is called "UK Blues" but I think we all came to the conclusion it was not the same, with the Livers we were running being the original.

Livers smelt like an old cobblers shop. Like old leather and sharp stingy shoe polish. Some black pepper with a crazy hint of fruity berry only after you broke the buds open.

Any idea what region this cut came from if it is straight from Afghanistan?

There are definitely some dark purples in Afghan lines. I have heard of a black kandahar and some lashkargah phenos get deep purple but I wouldn't say black.
