zeez...your gonna need more than that...manchin and jones are 2 dems at least that will be voting with repubs....actually the senate can impeach murkowski with a 2/3 vote too
murkowski wont jump ship anyway
however 3 dems in the house have voted against their party with one jumping political parties even...does not bode well for the senate trial
face it your hopes and dreams have been smashed and stomped into the ground

Several senators are in at risk elections. Following Moscow Mitch blindly would be certain political suicide when witnesses are excluded from testifying.
If it's them or trump, guess what they are going to say.
Notice the fake - he starts going thumbs up and then naaaahhhhh.

Okay, kids, let’s try it again:

IMPEACHMENT and REMOVAL are Congressional duties, House and Senate respectively.
The House does not impeach because of the Senate but because of the President; the Senate does not remove because of the House but because of the President.

Impeachment is complete, it doesn’t need to be ratified or approved. It’s done.

Removal is still ahead: the Senate will either decide to remove him from office or to refuse. Either way, the responsibility, the accountability for their decision rests with the Senate exclusively. They will be rewarded by the voters if they follow conscience, principle, and the constitution; they will be punished at the ballot box if they do not.

It is for the Senate to behave honorably in this hour: their unrelenting partisanship in the matter of #45 is on them, and everyone not caught up in the bullshit can see it.

Personally, I expect the case for removal to be heard - if at all - through the roar of Trumpist bullshit, obfuscation and plain old vitriol. I expect TrumpCo to kangaroo the shit out of it. And I expect what remains of the GOP to be flung from office in ‘20.

Worthwhile remembering that the VERY FIRST ACTION TAKEN against Trump post-inauguration was when Richard Painter, ethics officer under GW Bush, sued him for violating the Emoluments Clause...and that more GOP have switched parties or left the party or are leaving Congress, than Democrats have “walked away”.

Yeah, yeah, ‘facts don’t matter when your faith is strong’...but faith in bullshit isn’t empowering, and it doesn’t affect facts.

there is no rule or oath that a senator must remain impartial ...impeachment is a political process and has nothing to do with fairness...any member of the senate can call for a dismissal at any point in the trial and effectively end it before it begins with a simple majority vote to aquit...even if justice roberts refuses to dismiss he can be overruled by the senate simple majority...the rules of the senate are exclusively for senators and may be changed and or modified even at mid trial....and nothing is official till it is recorded by the secretary of state after the trial ends

I see. I figured it was baseless. And now it seems that he was correct to take the actions which lead to his nickname. For, it is now clear that the Russian hoax was just that, a hoax. Also, it's interesting that he opposed a '9/11 style commission' for the Russian hoax. As it turns out that the 9/11 commission report was totally corrupt.

Go ahead and look up Braidy Industries who's building an aluminum plant in Kentucky. Also, look up Rusal, Russian aluminum giant, who's investing in said aluminum plant. Then, look up ex-Governer of Kentucky, Matt Bevins, who has repeatedly been ordered to release the investment records into Braidy Industries, in which Kentucky state government is one of its earliest investors.

This is the same Matt Bevins who just pardoned child molesters and murderers.

•Who is the senior Senator from Kentucky?

•Who was instrumental in voting down an attempt to keep sanctions on Russian companies, including Rusal?

•Who got Russian investments for an aluminum plant in Kentucky from Oleg Deripaska just three months later?

But, if Russia gate was all lies anyways, who cares? I like Russia. Though I do think all foreign investment should be kept out of the US. But, Russia seems pretty tame compared to UN, UK, Israel, and China. Take California for instance and the fact that Chinese Nationals have bought up so much real estate and jacked up rental prices. This has lead to HUGE problems for the populace. And the way the bay bridge retrofit/rebuild project was given to chinese companies who ultimately ripped us off terribly. For all the Russophobia, it seems like Russia is the least of threats from foreign powers. Russian investments in aluminum doesn't really effect me or anyone else. Maybe other than creating jobs in Kentucky. But, if there is any wrongdoing in violation of the law, which seems doubtful here, then it should be investigated.

Russians must have been pretty happy to fork over $200m.

Maybe the feds will put the grab on it when they figure out why.
