I don't know about body weight stuff, but with weightlifting it's important to keep a strength balance between pushing and pulling. Guys who just bench all the time get overdeveloped chests compared to their upper back. It gives you a hunched over look where your shoulders get pulled too far forward. That kind of strength imbalance can lead to major medical problems.

If I was going to do pushups all the time, I'd want to balance that out with rows and pullups.

I'm a week in to my work out and getting back in shape . Count me in , I feel so good after being off Fried food a week . I'm dedicated for 60 days while a few Plants Bloom so i will have smoke for my Birthday . Plan on looking in the mirror and seeing a New me .

Thats a very good point m314.my buddy was benching 350 twenty years ago has fog leghorn legs now can't bench 200 cause he neglected his lower body and his core strength. now his back is all fucked up cause of poor foundation

I messed up my upper back and neck in my 20s from benching too much. I didn't know about the balance thing. I'm better off now working just as hard with pulling vs pushing lifts. Upper body / lower body balance is just as important.

I ocean kayak several miles out..its do or die as theres no cell phone and I don't carry marine radio yet...yeehaw ..I bet 3/4 of you wouldn't last 5 hours with me out in the open ocean...go ahead and work them weights I get to see whales,and other wildlife and sometimes bring home food...best I ever did before was get laid from some chick I met at gym..if her coochie was as tight as her biceps it would of been better...but in her defense I aint the biggest guy....ha ha

having done training for 8 years, before injury at work, i have been out now for 2 years.

definitely looking forward to smoking and training again

So, been doing pushups every day now for over a week...what I've noticed is less fat in my chest shoulders and neck, even the stomach...little bit of defintion in shoulders and arms, along with chest and neck.

It's pretty fun actually, seeing small results and building some strength.

you can get better, and different results, by switching up the type of push up and by doing them as slow as possible.

push ups,pullups and abs easy things to do that will get results with perseverance

Youll be adding another 50/day by the end of the month. Believe it or not, you will be able to do them one-handed (2-3, not 100) in a few weeks.
