LOL i knew someone would say that:D

That is not mold , i have put 4 npk pellets in each corner and those are good fungi , u dont even see them anymore now that i have given water

When i make soil mixes for example and let the soil fermentate the soil is full of these with hairs. It's all good stuff

I just saw that the new bulb i bought is a metal halide bulb. So i guess it would be ok for vegging and making clones?

High THC, just caught your thread man.... gearing up for another great season I see!

As for your 'dilemma' I say give'em the 250, even if it was HPS I'd still use it over the flouros.

Thx guys ,

Hello Kindhypnos , will you also be growing outdoor or not?

So i removed the duo fluor and have installed the 205 watt with blue MH lamp.

I immedialtely see that i will have space now for the lowryders and guerilla golds

Thx 4 advice

I hope it is 20 april soon so they can go in the greenhouse and then outside.

This week we will finally have hood weather 15 degrees and friday 20 degres:woohoo::woohoo:

During the day i put my babies outside.

Sadly probably not THC, I would love to have some ladies outside but circumstances really don't permit for me at this point... I've thought about maybe taking a couple extra clones on a little packpacking expedition and just seeing what happens, odds are though they wouldn't make it to harvest. One of these days......

Glad to hear you've gotten the extra wattage on those little ones, I'm sure they'll thank you for it...

Small update , sun is shining , the weather is sweet. It is 20-21 degrees today so i can put my babies outside instead of in the greenhouse. I don't have any ventilation running for the moment in the GH so it gets too hot now.

holes for the lowryder 2 seed harvest

img14597021057.jpg

hole for one of the UDG strains , i haven't decided yet. I think i am gonna put the guerilla gold 3 here cuz it is supposed to be the most afghan(indica) dominant , so i expect compact nugs , which is dangerous for mold here.

my.php

New life , all of the LR2 seeds(2 years old) have germed within 48 hours

my.php

Als the guerilla gold 3 is a fast one.

The rest is still in water , i expect them to open any time now

img14657103461.jpg

The nlx cuttings , i began training them with a rope and stick. I don't want them to get too tall under the MH lamp.

my.php

Here some mite damage on the lwer leaves , but i treated them and i don't see any sign now of mtes on the new shoots. But i gotta stay carefull because i keep moving the plants indoors---> Greenhouse/outdoors

I do this to save money on electricity and cuz the sun is the best lamp.

img14697165149.jpg

The soil in the hole for the frisian dew is fermentating now , i made it moist and then covered it with the black and white foil

img14687148859.jpg

The frisian dews.

I transplanted them to 2/3 old soil 1/3 cocos(new) in the 2 spoons of npk recipe.

I made a real dumb mistake with the frisian dews. I placed them directly in the sun after taking them out of the propagator , when i got home i saw the leaves where dried up cuz of the shock , so i got damage on the plants.

I normally first keep them in the shadow , and then in the sun when taking them out of the high humidity propagator.

The one i grew was Piefke's g13 haze it is Piefke's Power(white widowxa5 hazexg13 indica) X Ag13 nr 2(A5 haze X g13 indica).

This is from outdoor bud , she flowered 11 weeks , still had to go 2 weeks but it was raining too much and it was too cold. so i cut her. Also grew her indoors , good yielder with good taste and effect. Indoors she flowered 13 weeks.

@100% indica , i really hope so yeah cuz the dark purple one is shit , the light purple one is sweet.

On a posisitve note , all of the UDG gear , 6 seeds , 2 strains each , have all germed in 3 days . Beautiful striped seeds. I hope these strains will really be ready end of august , begin september

@ Karma

Again i have to say , what a small world:D
I would love to come by your store the next time i go to maastricht.

Do you , by any chance sell vaporizers in your store?? i wanted to buy myself a verdamper traveller edition(around 250 euros) cuz i really wanna quit smoking tobacco and i don't like smoking pure herb.

Piefke is actually a close friend of mine and a passionate breeder , i could bring him too:D(if u don't mind)

:abduct: Regards

Here is a nice tip that i haven't come up with myself.

It's from the deceased breeder of nederzaad.

So after u have germed ur seeds and let them pregrow to get a little bit stronger. Most people do this in unfertilsed soil for cuttings and seedlings.

Anywho after you transplant them you could try out this recipe as it worked well for me last year. I only tested my 3 last plants with this sadly. But it is da bomb you will get nice strong plants with very symmetric leaves.

The recipe is
6 liters of universal potting soil
4 spoons of lime(soup spoons , don't overdo this , just put lime in the spoon but be sure not to put a mountain on it , just a normal spoon)
2 spoons of organic npk pellets
a handful of worm castings or soil amender or compost
(see what u can find)
(i also add to liters of cocos and 2 liters of perlite for extra good structure but it is not necessary.

This works best with new soil . Also let the recipe fermentate for 2 weeks , jsut make it moist and cover it. What will happen is that the npk pellets will begin to break down and begin to form fungae.
So it loses it's solid structure.
So after fermentation u mix the soil one more time to really mix the decomposed(squishy) npk pellets and lime into the soil. This way you will have no hot spots and burns or differences.

In a few days i will post another update too let u guys see what happens/can happen if you do not fermentate your soil. I didn't have enough time , i had to transplant my frisian dews , so i only let it fermentate for2 days.

So what i have is 5 plants 3 which appear to be like they should be , one that is much darker and has smaller leaves , which indicates that that one has more npk pellets in it's part of the soil.

So don't forget to fermentate and mix one last time!!!!!!!!

The idea behind this recipe is "less is more"
It's a real simple and very cheap recipe anyone can make. Npk pellets cost 15 euros here for 25 kgs which last me years. Soil amender can be bought in every garden store and compost too. I get my worm castings in holland.

It seems like a lot of lime and i was also sceptic till i tried it.

Here a few pics

So these are pics from the deceased breeder. He only used universal potting soil , no perlite or cocos so only this recipe on the basis or 6 liters of universal potting soil. Strain is nederzaad 2005x2006

img00940847963.jpg

Here a plant of mine in the 8 spoon recipe(see previous pages)

This plant was to young to be put in this , it is better for flowering plants. So this plants seems healthy and it is. But it makes smaller leaves , has a darker colour and grows slower in the beginning.

img01100831699.jpg

Here a nederzaad 2006 of mine on which i tested this recipe for young plants. It is in 1.5 liters and i transplanted it 3 weeks after germination.

So the colour is lighter , but it shines more , the leaves are a lot bigger and more symmetric and the plant just looks more healthy grows faster. Whats also interesting is that after transplant they pick up much quicker.

After this recipe they can go into the 4-6 spoons recipe

I would say give it a try , it's cheap and easy , won't take much time. Just be sure to let it fermentate and mix again.

Oh yeah only give them water the first month , after that give them fish mix or something for veg once per week at half the dose.
