It's interesting science. I personally don't believe we're going to see THC and CBD products on shelves drastically cheaper than they are produced now though. Not because they can't be produced cheaper, but simply because no large corporations are going to have an incentive to produce them at cheaper prices than we already have. Eli Lily and Purdue Pharmaceuticals are not going to be motivated to produce cannabinoids for human consumption at $1/gram. Using yeast to produce cannabinoids is also not going to be as carbon friendly as simply growing large crops of cannabis outdoors under the sun.
