Hey friends,
While checking in on the girls, I took a few pictures. The unwatered Thia Chi is continuing to develop darker phenotypic expressions. The Thai Chi and the Blue Thai plants are extremely sticky plants. Like a palm full of peanut butter with honey toast sticky.
With much introspection after the North Dakota Cannabis Measure failed to pass.

As a new grandfather to 6 babies in the family, I will no longer risk my freedom for the sake of soil propagation and overall health benefits to plants and people.

I am going to preserve my genetics library in a time capsule labeled inside individually sealed neon glass tubing floating inside ceramic drums of crude oil. These can float inside a cement casket vault for eternity.

I am an Ordained Servant of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏. A new door is opening to me soon. I will have among the finest stashes of Private Smoke in the world. Please know I have a beautiful view of wildlife out my window, a wife who loves me deeply and to share my considerable passion of revealing Cannabis growing truths.

I have lost most of the use of my right arm and hand. I'm not left handed, loading water became very difficult for me to do. I'm a firm believer in hand watering even at a corporate commercial facility.

Don't become reliant on technology. We take it for granted and when it bites us we are often at it's mercy for that season. Simplicity has so many undiscovered lessons.
God bless you, this was my final grow as of right now.

My TC has now cured for 5 months and I feel it is at it´s best now. Potency has gone up, and the high is delicate and sensuous. Lovely for romantic evening at home with my wife, some good food and a movie.
I have now grown and cured two strains from Ace. Panama x Bangi Haze and Thai Chi. It is the best ganja I have had the chance to enjoy so far.
Next up in the curing jar is C5 Haze x Kali China.
I am so thankful for your breeding work @dubi

Thank you so much for your positive feedback @LHC 🥰 very touching to know you rate Panama x Bangi Haze and Thai Chi so highly. Panama x Bangi Haze is unbeatable for lemony incensey terps, high to very yields, great potency and trippy up effects in moderate flowering times. Thai Chi is finishes in approx same time and is also incensey, but not so much to the lemony side, more toward mango, leather, decaying flowers and hashy notes. Thai Chi is a moderate yielder with more sensual, clean, and balanced effects, as you've been experiencing over the past months.

If you like Thai Chi so much, you are also going to love the Outback Thai x Kali China we are going to release next year ;)

Early sample experience was deeply enjoyable and introspective. It heightened three senses significantly: taste, smell, and vision. There was a subtle feeling of lightness, but it didn't induce an overly dreamlike state. The effect created a strong desire for solitude in a natural setting, inspiring activities like Tai Chi:sneaky:, focused on breathing, and stretching while being completely alone. The effects of this green pheno closely resemble those of the previously experienced purple Thai Chi. The similarities in the overall experience suggesting a comparable psychoactive profile. Thai Chi is a no-ceiling intellectual treat.
Thank you for your report. Based on your observations, it seems that your KC x OH cross is more on the KC side. Mine has just begun to flower, exhibiting that distinct KC creamy lemon aroma that I haven't found in any other KC crosses. It appears to be a recessive trait, but it's definitely present. Similarly, I've only encountered the mango aroma once in a KC x Panama cross, but it translated more notably into the flavor profile rather than the aroma.

Have you noticed any particular aromas developing after the curing process?

I agree with you on this @Tranquilidade the Old School Haze x Kali China is very mango incensey, some floral too, and has more indica influence from Kali China in the effect. On the other hand, the Outback Thai x Kali China is much Thai dom for up electric effects and fresh lemony terps. All this will be properly explained in the strain descriptions when the Outback Thai x Kali China will be released next year.

This latest green and good yielding Thai Chi pheno you harvested looked great, and still very healthy ripening  Glad she delivers the signature effects you love so much from this strain.

ThaiChi on the left, ~10 weeks of flowering

At least one seed growing happily.
Right next to her was the herming NewCaledonia (which I didn't catch in time) and I guess he/she/it spread its pollen.

What are your guys thoughts about this cross?
TC x herming NC
🤔

@dubi

Hope it didn't pollinate much the other plants @Hasch 😕 sorry for that.
I usually discard seeds coming from hermie parent plant, yet you cam still check it out, Thai Chi crossed with New Caledonia sounds wonderful.

Colas looked amazing and you were really maximizing the yield potential of the different genetics.
Did you enjoy Thai Chi ?

Time for a lil'update on my two TC. One is getting some dark/purple colors as temperatures are dropping.

As for this one, it remains green

Congrats on the harvest of your 2 (purple and green) Thai Chis @Insano Hope you have been enjoying them these months :)

Did you grow them in small pots ? Did they flower under short photoperiod or any light contamination at night ?

So glad to hear she even has that wow factor @outsidegrower :D and it only can get better and better after proper curing. Thanks a lot for sharing your outdoor grow diary with us, Thai Chai is a bit on the limit at your 43ºN (especially for a green pheno like yours), but she made it like a champ 💪 enjoy!

My ThaiChi has been curing for ~5 weeks and so far it hasn't really caught my interest. I will give her some more time to cure.
Got to revise my impression of the Thai Chi.

After another few month cure the TC has really come round 😳

I hadn't expected such a change after more curing time.
😄 The high feels more refined, trippy and energetic now.
I like it!

My second pheno of the Hon x Pan also feels refined, trippy and keeps up the energy level.

Compared to the ThaiChi, the high of the Hon x Pan feels "warmer," somehow. More heart?
🤔

Thanks man!
I took this down at around 8 weeks of flower.
She's hanging upside down now, I'll get around to trimming her in a couple of weeks.

I don't know what was going on, but she'd stalled out and was maturing up alongside leaves just drying up like a plant that hadn't been watered for a while, but only around the halfway mark up the stalks. Top and bottom of the plant was fine, she had a flush through to clean the coir out, but decided to not want to get going again. Not rootbound, ph and ec all fine, just don't know what was going on with her.

I have a rooted cut revegging, so may try again in amended soil instead of coir and try to keep her shorter than nearly 7 foot. :whee: :biglaugh:

I did take a very small lower branch off that was in my way a week or so ago, that stinks of straight cat piss in the jar. There's tones of the Kali China in there, a bit meaty and grapefruity... but mostly tom cat spray.

Congrats @BumSplodgeBrownPants on your harvest and thanks for sharing your Thai Chi grow diary with us too 🥰

Most Thai Chi expressions behave like yours, showing wide Kali China leaves and indica traits in first month of life, then later exploding in flowering with strong Thai sativa influence, stretching out and developing thin leaves as they ripen. An 8 week flowering time is quite short, most usually take a couple of extra weeks.
Although i don’t see anything negative in your flowers that could prevent reflowering ... perhaps colder temps around the 6 week flowering mark? ec in 0,7 is usually ok, yet she showed slight overfeeding signs.

Thai Chi - Flowering Day 57
Smell some creamy orange and spices.
Very resinous, i´m impressed so far, also noticed some foxtails on some of the buds.

View attachment 19023913

Great looking buds after 57 days of flowering @early_bird ;) as usual in your gardens, looking chunky even for Thai Chi! Looks like your girl reflowered and bulked properly following the flowering, guerss finishing after 15-20 days since this last update. Now that you’ve had the chance to test the cured product, what are your impressions of this strain?

The weed from the 2 Thai Chi clones ist almost dry enough for the jars... i harvested them a few days ago. Had only 55 days of flower but looked ripe enough and very resinous. :yummy:

Props @Mitsuharu :tiphat:for such beautiful and healthy Thai Chi grow from start to finish under only 100w, very resinous good looking buds, very fast flowering too. Curious to know if you already gave her a try one month and half after harvest, and if so, what's your insights about the finished product of this genetics, much appreciated.

I'm new here, and thought I would share some pics of my beautiful magical Thai Chi plant which I grew in the greenhouse in 2022.

I love my sativas and I really wanted to try Thai Chi after hearing Dubi talk about it on the Potcast, but the odds were stacked against me. I live in the UK at 51 degrees North and only grow outdoors, so the chances of getting a Thai sativa to finish adequately were not great. But I'm a great believer in trying stuff rather than assuming it can't be done, so I sowed one seed.

The plant was beautiful, but so late to start flowering! When I got to early October and most of my plants were close to finishing, the Thai Chi had only just started putting out pistils. By the end of October it was the only plant still not harvested. But it was healthy and mould-free so I let it get on with doing its thing just to see what would happen. As the nights turned colder it began to turn the most beautiful shades of red, purple and black, and still it kept on slowly flowering.

These photos were taken on 19th November. Having a plant still blooming so late in the season is unheard of for me – most things are rotting away long before then. I got lucky with a relatively dry and sunny autumn (by UK standards) and the Thai Chi just seemed to thrive. I finally harvested it on 27th November, when the first signs of mould started to appear. In an ideal world it would have gone another week or so, but it still gave me a very good yield of stunning buds. The aroma was sublime ... like ripe blackcurrants.

This plant was a stunner in every way. It has a beautiful uplifting spiritual high, refined and euphoric, with no negative side. I keep it as my special reserve to enjoy on special occasions. Thank you Dubi for your magic!

Wow @Black Venus didn’t expect Thai Chi could finish at 51ºN until late November. well done for giving it a try on the first place and for finishing such beauty in the greenhouse plant. Pleased to know the terpenes and effects from your single female were of your taste, hopefully close in effects to what i tried to explain on the potcast about this strain, thanks a lot for your feedback 🙏

Yes, chop was 14 days later.
I doubt i grown in properly, this was with an selfmade Lamp with 4000K Samsung LED and i didn´t get milky trichs, just clear and brown. Very strange.
The final product is good sleeping weed right know, make me a bit tired and give a pleasant buzz for 3 hours.
A friend has grown a cut of the same plant and had a very different experience from the final product reported it was uplifting.
Guess i have to grow more to really find out, changed the lamp meanwhile, to rule out this in future.
