Thai Chi almost 30 days flower
Hi @dubithanks for the reminder @LHC first make sure ph is correct. If ph is correct and ec is not higher than 1.6 and still yellowing then it's lack of nutrients.
Hi @dubi
At your advice, I got myself an EC meter
If you have the chance, would you comment on what EC range you consider good for a moderate feeder as Thai Chi?
@dubi , I was wondering something... I initially got interested in the Thai Chi because I heard you say on Heavy Dayze's Pot Cast that it had to be "the hybrid you were most proud of".
That podcast was 3 years ago, and you seem to have done a lot of fresh work since then. Would you still answer Thai Chi if you were asked the same question today?
Another thing I was wondering: I feel a lot of your stuff has a calm, contemplative, introspective effect, that I'm not very used to finding in other strains, especially sativas (and which I like a lot, by the way).
Is that something you are actively selecting for (like your personal taste, maybe?), or is it just pure casuality, because of the particular strains I chose to grow? (Nepal Jam, Orient Express, Kali China, Zamal'china, Thai Chi, Malawi x Panama).
And in that case, what would be the most opposite to Thai Chi in effects?

I wonder why there is no Thai Chi in ACEs Online-Shop!? Not even 'out of stock' or 'discontinued'... like it has never existed. ^^
Hey Dubi ..... as always glad to see you here as well.........Great to see you posting back here @StrongTree we miss you!
Is she a new girl from seed or previous one from clone ?
Wow thank you, that was a very complete answer! That's a good question @albertgriffiths there are certainly other ACE sativa strains more potent, better looking, better yielding than Thai Chi, but Thai Chi has certain quality to its effects and an incensey terpene profile i cherish a lot. For commercial production i would choose other ACE sativas such as Panama x Bangi Haze, but for private stash Thai Chi is still up there with my 3 favorites. Another new favorite of mine is Zenith, there are truly unique Zenith expressions (in the longer flowering phenos) that are also among my all time favorites.
Regarding your second question about strong introspection in ACE strains, i like cannabis that produces strong inner world, i don't like smokes that doesn't have effect in my inner world and doesn't enhance perception (pretty much like today's Kushes, effects say very little).
Although the strains you mention have very different kind of introspection: kind, clear, balanced introspection like Thai Chi, Kali China, Nepal Jam or Orient Express from one side, and on the other the crazier dirtier introspection in Malawi and Panama hybrids.
If Thai Chi is clear, balanced meditation, Golden Tiger Thai leaning phenos are completly crazy, trippy, accelerated, imaginative, dissociative, a very altered state tha is quite the opposite to a true meditative state, despite both Thai Chi and Golden Tiger contain Thai genetics, they have been bred for completely different goals-outcome.
As well as the Zenith.I wonder why there is no Thai Chi in ACEs Online-Shop!? Not even 'out of stock' or 'discontinued'... like it has never existed. ^^
We have just removed during our Black Friday fem promo the feminized strains out of stock such as Thai Chi and Zenith.I wonder why there is no Thai Chi in ACEs Online-Shop!? Not even 'out of stock' or 'discontinued'... like it has never existed. ^^
I would be using homemade ph down instead of vinegar. You can buy phosphoric acid online, mix 100mL in 900mL in water (mix acid into water, not water into acid). My ph is also 7.8-8.2, I just use the homemade mix and it keeps it down for weeks on end. I use a 60gal reservoir and ph balance it right then and there. Even after 2 weeks it's still within 0.1.That's absolutely correct @Stoneroller . A RO filter or mixing with deionized water may be the only feasible way if the carbonates are to high. Sure, you can always add more acid to destroy all the buffering capacity, but then either EC might be too high or too much citrate or acetate or whatever anion comes with the acid you are using.
I am currently figuring out how much vinegar I would need, but now my pH meter died and I have a new one ordered.
Unfortunately I have neither enough water pressure nor space for a RO unit (would need one with a booster pump).
thank you so much @sgka for the detailed information! Phosphoric acid has the advantage of buffering the pH pretty well plus you're already adding some phosphate fertilizer (have to take that into consideration).I would be using homemade ph down instead of vinegar. 1L of the phosphoric has lasted me maybe a year so far and I'm maybe halfway done with it. Only need a few tbsp to get the 60 gal where it needs to be
Is Thai Chi going to be restocked? I can't even find it on the site at present?
