TESTERS 2017 - Thai/Bubba Kush x Kali China

hehe vodka:bigeye: ..yeah I´ll see how they grow after 2-3 weeks flower, the worst would be to have rootbound plants in the 10th week, so I´ll see then after 2-4 weeks if they gonna need even bigger pots..a rootbound plant delivers much less aroma and potency in my experience, even if the yield can be high..

peace :skiiing:

Nice greenery, vodka, but I wouldn't expect that much from 10 lt pots...
I had a BKHP x EP outdoors in +20 lt and the yield was but meagre...

Wish you all the very best though!

:tiphat:Orfeas

I'm currently yielding a half pound per 3 gallons of coco under 500 watts. I fit 5-6 in each one of my tents and hit 2.5-3 pounds a round on 45 days veg. With 45 days veg they never get root bound.

..All 4 girls were topped multiple times so that they gonna have from 6 to 12 tops.
When rubbing the branches, snapping some leaves you´ll notice already a very pleasant spicy lemony scent.
I´m gonna transplant in a few days into 6.5L (now staying in 3.5L) and put them into flower. After 2-3 weeks of 12/12 I´m gonna transplant into 10L, that´s the plan at least.
Directly into 10L would cause too much stretch, I guess these girls are able to grow into some monster bushes..!! : )

The Bubba Kush x KC gonna go into flower in 2-3 weeks from today on. They gonna stay in 10L from the first day of flower on, so they can unfold their full potential. They are also multiple times topped, update is coming in the next days.

Subrovka they are looking great. Bet them aromas from them crosses are fire. Ace crosses really do shine in their own right. Yield should be pretty decent if you are using good nutrients, soil and keep the Ph correct during the entire flowering period. The Thai x Kali China sounds very promising. Then again I love Thai genetics. Best of luck on the out come.

Hi subrovka,

Looks like the Thai x Kali China has great vigor from the thai side.
Your planning with the transplants sounds fine if you have enough height and strong lights in your indoor setup, guess you can expect some strong stretching in early flowering due the straight thai influence, although hopefully the Kali China tames a bit the hybrid.

The Bubba Kush x Kali China won't probably be a big yielding indica, but the cross should produce really good quality indica flowers.

Can't wait for the flowering stage! :)

ooh yes the Thai x KC grows like a tropical sativa imo. due to space issues I didn´t put her into flower now (need a bigger flower room hehe) but gonna do so in the next days. These gonna be monsters, I bet you :D very good vigourisity and also smell, when I defoliate I get really sticky fingers and it has that tropical sativa smell, lemon-menthol kind of like..
the Bubbas have pretty short internodes and look totally indica, I´m very excited how the buds will look. cause in veg the plants look like they gonna make very dense indica buds..just from the look in veg and my experience :D

UPDATE is gonna come in the next days : )

here´s a pic from today from my veg. they all look healthy but really want to go under the HPS. I try to keep them small in the veg with defoliation and toppings, so that they are able to explode as soon as under 12/12..

@dubi I have different lights in my room: 1x 600W HPS, 1x 750W HPS, 1x 180W LED, 1x 300W UV-B beamer metal vapor discharge beamer for 2h/day. They are alright for sativas, but surly can´t argue with the sun hehe..; )

ps. veg is under 250W CFL

pps. the girl in the corner down right (red round pot) is a silverback jack, the other 8 are the girls we are talking about in this thread..but I guess it´s pretty obvious to make out the different varieties in this pic..; )

..hm I don´t own any instruments to measure pH nor I have pH-downers/uppers in my nutrient line up. It´s not an option with organic soil, when my plants get rootbound and start to show dark stems and yellow leaves with purple veins I need to transplant or live with a lower yield (and quality), the sativas seem to have lots of vegetative growth in the 12/12 stage..sometimes it´s too less space for the roots and then they´ll suck..but I let the micros in the soil make the right pH..at least for now, maybe I´ll change my System in the future, thinking of hydroponiks.. : )

when the roots are getting to much for their space they can get rootbound...did i get this right ?

sry i always talking about this but use some em-a (2-5 ml per liter) and i bet the roots will be staying white.....no o2 rotting bacteria will be win the fight against em microbes...

thx for the great pics and infos subrovka...

peace

Hey sorry for the late response @wasgedn but i have some technical problems lately so that i can only Post from a mobile phone..Notebook broke.. to your question about the Root growth: when you grow sativas you can easily transplant untill the 4-6 week of flower, the root growth will be still pretty Strong! If you put it directly into the end size pots they gonna grow even higher. Especially with wild sativas in pots it's very Important to maintain a healthy soil by transplanting during the first 2 month of flower otherwise they gonna fade out and become prone to pests far before they are ripe. Gonna post an Update within the next dass!

Hi, sorry I had some problems lately..first my computer died, then I had to hide all my plants and growing stuff for a few days cause I had to let sb. into my house who is on the black list of people you wanna show your grow..
everything is good again, I harvested the Bubba Kush x Kali China today after 7 weeks, I´m gonna load up a bunch of pictures just after I finished this post..

The Bubba Kalis´s have an amazing kushy, earthy hash smell with some special sweetness which is hard to describe, mouthwatering!! from the nose all 4 girls are pretty similar on the fresh bud, let´s see how they turn out after drying..

One of the Bubbas turned purple in the end and from the structure they were all very kushy, very few stretch so they need a bit longer in veg, especially when they get topped. This is a good strain for SoG, columnar and very homogenous growth. Guess I´m gonna reveg the best girl, cause from the nose it´s just soo delicious, can´t imagine the smoke isn´t also..!

The Thai x Kali China are still in flower, they seem to ripe out pretty much, seem to be ready in the next days. they are in for good 10 weeks now, but sadly I can´t say exactly cause I lost an excel cheat on my old computer which counted the flower days of every plant in my garden..
From the 4 girls two are heavy stretchers and the other two have an average/low stretch for a sativa. The bud structure and the smell is 100% sativa/thai, very strong tropical sativa smell..gonna try describe it better later on.

pictures are coming in the next hours!

@all have some great holidays mates!!

Thai x Kali China

they are good 10 weeks now, amazingly fast!!
unfortunately some of the top buds were snapped a bit as I had to hide them for a good day under a plane and it was fucking windy that day..
they are very rich in terpenes, a sharp smell of citrus fruits is atomised by the buds. The big stretchy phenos are foxtailing really nice, the smaller dudes seem to have a bit more from the father.

they gonna be harvested in the next coming days, I´ll keep you on track!
