As life goes, these fine young ladies are turning into big bitches! Everyone is happy at 12/12 . Not much sign of flower yet but it’s only been a few days. Interestingly enough a different strain is showing sex after like two days.

These are the images. You can see a faint sign of osmo barely visible in a few pics. The hps just turned on so I timed the pics correctly.

Now to see how the mix and osmo do for this particular strain.

Everything just keeps growing. I’m seeing some pistils now but not much activity yet. Everyone is pretty happy at least. No fragrance yet. Just keep growing.

A couple more. They are starting to fill out. The one taller gal under hps is the osmo. The other led osmo is marked. Other two are my soil mix. The led mix seems to be happier than the led osmo, not that the osmo plant is unhappy. It’s just smaller for some reason.

When I descend the stairs to the grow room my nostrils are filled with the scent of cannabis plants wafting up toward me from the depths of the grow room. Great green plant hint of nature type of smell with the unmistakable scent of good green bud thrown in.

These fine ladies are beginning to bulk up. The grow is moving along very well. Healthy plants, good fan leaves, multiple bud sites. One plant below tall gal under hps somehow avoided topping. She stretched quite impressively. This is the osmo gal. The two LEDs are close but the organic soil mix has the osmo beat in terms of size, and maybe in terms of yield. Not sure yet on that.

One troublesome thing. The weather is affecting my tent a month+ earlier this year. My humidity is up where it should still be lower for this time of year. This afternoon lights out temp was 71 humidity was 77. My dehumidifier usually keeps it down around 60 but had filled up. I’m slightly worried about the buds but so far so good.

Ran out of rainwater again. No rain in the forecast for at least a week. I hope tap doesn’t screw things up during flower. I’m watering every two days now.

I’ve got humidity just under 60% as long as I empty the dehumidifier regularly. I hope that is low enough.

Everyone is just doing their budding thing and not much to say. Healthy strong plants. One interesting note. A few lower leaves on the organic led plant turned purple. I think fletch had this also. This may be due to watering on my end. Still, strong plants and only so far the one.

Below different view of the plants. Big osmo hps plant is filling in nicely. Just a race to the finish line now.

My stonerism:

Spider mite spider mite you ain’t right
In my canopy at night
What idiot or clown
Dare bring you to chew my grow down?

Original:

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

Well fuck me royally. Week six of flower and it’s become painfully obvious I’m infested. I am choosing not to spray for now and hoping I can hang in there a few more weeks. Got my vacuum cleaner ready to go. Planning on hand painting some leaves with spinosad if need be. I’m going to write off my monster sativa as mites have just suddenly gotten out of control on it. My health and lungs are semi fucked and can’t bring myself to spray.

Good news is so far in the karma tent only one plant is hosed up. Sadly, that is my karma organic led plant. Osmo led is still ok and at least appears unaffected. Hps gals are rocking out still and have two plants in between as buffers from the infected tent area.

I need some good karma about now..

Sorry those F-ers are there my friend. Looks like these should Coast to the finishline.

Defoliating everything from the top 9-12 inches down will give them less surface area in which to breed. It also stops the bleeding, in the sense that you are removing the Mites that are sapping the plants' energy. If you're hesitant to cause any additional stress, that is understandable. The defol will be a beneficial stress. I am positive it will help.

Good Luck my friend.

I chopped some buds that were the noticeable offenders. Mostly dried and going into the jar soon. 39.5 grams of decent looking bud. I vacuumed and dipped in h2o2. Should at least work for Gummies. The rest of the plant is not bad and I’ll be harvesting based on mite activity vs actual doneness I think. I’m still hoping to harvest the other plants without much issue and in the correct window though.

One observation I find unexpected is that of the two led plants, the organic soil plant is larger, wider, and likely going to yield or would have higher yield than the osmo led. Looking forward to final numbers though.

Just my 2cents since 2023 was spider mite city here..Had me some spider mites in flower after bringing in an outdoor plant..
Iso alcohol (4water to 1iso) and citric acid (a couple TBs per liter) sprays was an effective knockdown solution without damaging leaf or trichs.
Got them again next round in flower..used the same knockdown spray, then added botanigard predatory fungus and had a pretty smooth crop after that.
Blasted the room after that crop with some nuclear options and 2024 is clean so far.
Looking forward to smoke report

After pulling infested buds, pulling infected fan leaves, spraying gently surrounding fan leaves.. I’ve slowed things I suspect. A few new leaves with white spots, I pull and wet the leaves around, not buds. Literally I wet my gloved fingers and rub both sides of the surrounding leaves. Lots of work, but seems it should help slow things. Also vacuumed a few buds and many leaves.

Week 7 and I’m going to make it.

Today starts week 8 of flower. 3 of the 4 karma are doing great. The leaves are turning fall colors and the buds are following suite. The heavy infested plant is still doing ok and I’ll harvest good bud from it. Buds are frosty and plumping up. I have been hitting the 6 1/2 week bud and thinking how much better it will be in a week or two.

below is the hps ladies, the non infested plant and the infested plant.

Other plants in the tent. My sativas. I’m worried about these. I think this big one may be the tallest widest most branched plant I’ve ever grown. The organic spray turned some pistils brown. Not good but hopefully it will keep growing well.

Some bad news in the tent. The karma led osmo plant is now looking infested. Sudden explosion of white dots on many leaves. Small amount of visible webbing on one bud. Vacuumed and hoped I didn’t pull any good plant material off. Getting close but doesn’t seem quite ready yet. Soon it will be no choice, I’ll pull when the infestation says to.

Below is about day 58 of flower. Trichs look clear to me.

Hello everyone. The images here are day 63 of flower and are on the led plants only. I didn’t bother with hps am am using LEDs as a rough guide. I did snip a lower bud from an hps plant a few days ago for a sample. Good taste and good high so far.

I really want to pull these but they don’t look done yet. I’m looking at trichs here and don’t see any or very many amber. Everything looks clear. Mites are expanding ever so quickly.

In the last few weeks the plants have been bulking up. Buds have started to show more crystals. Hopefully not much longer.

Things are creeping along.. lots of mites and seeing some webbing now. I pulled the one karma led organic plant and had to toss half of it. Other plants are hanging in there. Still seem to need more time if you go by trichs. I’m not seeing much amber.

I finished pulling the karma plants. They went 9+ weeks. Spider mites kind of screwed things up some but plants finished. Interesting results. The hps plants were lower yielding than LEDs. Very similar yields with hps osmo and organics. The osmo led is the highest yielder. Organic led was the heavy infested one I chopped some early. Tricky to say but likely yield would still be lower than osmo led. I was surprised.

Lessons learned include these plants need to be trimmed. It’s difficult for me to bend over so I didnt want to trim. Don’t shortcut this if growing in the future.

Under hps smell was more fragrant and pronounced.

Nutes lasted nearly long enough. Some sign of nute deficiency a week or so before chop. Adding a bit higher npk or more should do the trick.

Been a good grow..

Despite your issues it all looks amazing. I'd be happy with that harvest, great job!
