Ideally it would come in pretty handy for problem solving, and make one difficult to converse with lol ....
If one had some familiarity with the problem being solved. I do believe that it's people with high iq's that are best at problem solving. I feel they're better able to think in abstract terms to come up with the solutions. I would also say having a high iq is good for adapting, acquiring new skills with minimal instruction and intuitive thinking. Like where one can see a potential for a problem in something and fix it before it ever happens.
There is a problem within the IQ test though that can affect how well certain people do and since it's based on a bell curve that could skew results. Like for example, there is a part of the test where they name an object and they give you a list of 4 or 5 items all of which don't belong except one and they ask which item goes with it. So say the item is teacup and the word for the correct answer is saucer, if the person was from a poor family and never saw or heard of a saucer in his or her life then they would not know to pick saucer.
