Terrible smelling plant!

Well this MK-Ultra doesn't produce a potent high. If it did I would probably like it.
And the people I've given it to, smoke it, but won't get it again unless it was their only choice.

I don't just smoke to get high. If I told you that if you smoked this dog food and it would get you high would you smoke it? I don't think so. I could put some hash in that dog food, making it more potent than any bud, and I bet you wouldn't smoke it.

I know there are alot of connisuers that would agree with me.

I will not be smoking this, but I think I will keep her alive to see if a friend will want to try it. Probably won't be a friend much longer after the deed is done. It could be just me that doesn't like the smell. It's as though it brings back a memory of something repulsive, but I can't put my finger on it. I don't know, I'm sure it smells as bad to others - how could it not?

We grew out a shit load of phenos a long time ago and there were many mix ups on labeling. We ended up with several clones of a pheno that stunk like sewage or fresh human shit even. I swear it smelled like a porta potti if you were near the plant. Trimming them was gross. It was like scratching your bum hole and then sniffing your finger. (Don't try this at home!)

I have a similar experience with a White Russian ( Serious)... horrible. But some months later it´have a radical change.

my plants would give off sudden wafts of shit smells,but the overall smell was nice,like pepper and incense,typical smell,but nice

and another plant i had in veg,smelled like the smell your decribeing,like burnt rubber and shit,it turned out male tho

sqwirl: I dont know about you, but I dont smoke dogfood (LOL) or anything similar, just because it get´s me high. We are talking about our belowed erb now.

I got this Neville´s Haze cut that have this garlic undertone, it´s hands down the best herb I currently grow.

I can't believe all the response this thread has received. Thanks to all of you for not laughing me off the board after posting this. If I wasn't so high that night I would have never posted it. I have decided to keep a cut of her in case the smell improves with a good cure, or may be even the potency might be worth keeping her. I'll give her a chance, but it sure is hard to keep her anywhere near me. Funny thing is, now that I have experienced that smell, it seems to haunt me throughout the day. I get little whiffs of it here and there, even at work. Weird eh?

on my first grow ever, bagseed, I had one plant that literally smelt like rotting shit mixed with garbage. It really did stink something notorious. It was like, I wasn't going to be suprised if a swarm of flies started to fly over it.

I took as much kief I could from it and gave the rest to my friends. While they looked nice, those buds repulsed me. Sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about'em.


and on my current grow I have a Hashberry that smells like rotting fruit. It's starting to get a better floral smell to it, but still, I won't be growing that again. No disrespect intended to Mandala, love his ethics and work, but I sample a lot of strains and only keep ones that are appealing to me. Strains and plants with bad smells just don't stick around. Unless of course the smoke is ultra potent. Then of course exceptions are made.

I've heard nothing but bad things from people who've grown MK-Ultra. It's never, "oh man, this shit was the fucking bomb. Bomb ass aromas and tastes!" It's always stuff like, "the shit smelt like hay and it never went away. I was really disappointed."

I've got F2's, don't really know when I'll ever get to growing them though. They're one of the strains that are constantly getting bumped out of the rotation.

My experience with MK Ultra was great. I loved the taste and high, and the yeild was good.

It definitely didn't smell like hay!

Got some Femaleseeds White Widow approaching week 10 of flowering . Reeks of wild garlic and river dank . Cant make up my mind if I find it unpleasant or not . Im betting it smokes nicely.

I had some northern light from female seeds that smelled and tasted like vicks vapor rub and burning plastic to me. it was just a 4 pack and they were all the same, no difference in them except one seemed more sativa leaning but tasted the same. I wasn't impressed with anything to do with it, yield, smell, taste or high. after I tried it it was like work to smoke it. everyone else seemed to like it fine but it was awful tasting to me. I got rid of that pretty quick. I also had some bud one time a friend brought over that tasted just like vomit, 2 hits and I couldn't smoke it anymore,not from the potency but from the taste. other than that, I've not seen another that I just hated to smoke

I grew Mandala Sadhu outdoors in 2011. It had the most unpleasant spoiled garlic odor. Let me state I love all other Mandala strains but Sadhu was not for me. I turned it into ice water hash, where it was much more tolerable..........

Many plants and fungi smell like rotting stuff, to attract flies as pollinators.

Why not (some) ganja?

I've had a few nasty smelling ones, I recommend keeping and testing.
I've had one memorable example flip from foul to nice during drying.
Another smelled really nice, then left a distinct "fresh warm shit" smell afterwards. This really confused me - never did work out if the shit smell was there all along or whether it actually got created by being heated/smoked/oxidised/carboxylated/whatever

I think it's a confusing subject because smell is subjective and we don't all zero in on the same components of the smell, but it's also fair to say that there's no need to grow weed which smells rank when there's plenty of other ones which are lovely.

Definitely worth waiting to test the dried bud though as some of the tangy, foul ones turn into the best ones IME.

i have a indica dom pheno of guava 13 that about to be chopped i call the chemical carcass pheno,
a warm putrid corpse soaked in diesel and paint thinners, i cant take it out the closet as she has the whole house stinking for hours with in seconds, over powering rank dank! she getting revegged but im going to need an ozone genny for the next time i grow her, its not just a smell but a thick greasy stench that she kicks off.

big thanks to the guy who gave me a couple seeds, you known who you are and ive not forgotten just shit keeps happening and get side tracked, il see you right

I had some Afghani #1 x C99 that tasted soooo bad. It smelled like good herb, but the taste was BLEEEEAAARRRRGGGG! Man it was awfull. Good, stoney herb, but it was YUCK in the taste department. And that was after a good good flush and cure. ICK! I can't quite put my finger on the taste, but it was foul. I gave about a QP of it away, it tasted that bad.

I've got some LUI x Blue Moonshine that will throw a Vicks VAP-O-Rub smelling pheno during flower from time to time, but it doesn't come through in the taste after a dry and cure.
