Terrible smelling plant!

I made some seeds from my blueberry clone crossed with an ak47 mother. The seeds turned out beautiful so I planted them and now have five plants growing that have been budding for five weeks. They are all forming large colla's and look to be all about the same, with one exception. Four of the plants smell great, just like grape koolaid - but what has me confused is one of the plants has the worst smell I have ever experienced from a plant. I would even go so far as to say the worst smell I have ever encountered anywhere! It smells some how floral, but a bitter noxious smell almost of burn't plastic. The smell is hard to describe, but it actually makes me feel like vommiting. I am not exagerating - the smell of rotten meat is far more tolerable than this. It isn't so much a smell that can be described, but one that just makes you feel ill. It is really hard to explain, but I am on the verg of killing it before finding out what it smokes like. I wish someone else here could smell it to see just how bazzar this plant is. It's strange to say the least.

I will not be smoking this, but I think I will keep her alive to see if a friend will want to try it. Probably won't be a friend much longer after the deed is done. It could be just me that doesn't like the smell. It's as though it brings back a memory of something repulsive, but I can't put my finger on it. I don't know, I'm sure it smells as bad to others - how could it not?

Anyways, I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced a strain that smells so bad it makes you want to hurl? Anyone?

I had an NYCD pheno that had this very odd spicey smell to it that just DID not agree with me at all... I didn't even want to open the jar.

I pretty much gave all of it away (3oz!) just because I knew I'd never touch it... funny part is, the people I gave it to had no problems with it and thought it was great smoke.. they said they didn't smell anything wrong with it... smelled like good weed to them

TGT I wonder if it's recessive genes coming out or just a result of the AK x BB cross ... either way she's only 1 out of 5, stop complaining. grin

Harvest it and cure it for two-three months. You might be surprised at the result.

I've had plants that made others (not me) want to hurl. Some phenos in the Widow family smell like old socks / gym changing rooms! Great smoke though.

AK47 and BB could have the makings of Skunk in their genes (Mex, Colombiana, Thai, Afghan). Perhaps by some great stroke of luck you got a good combination.

If it's really as good as you say, keep the clone, some of the RKS fans may pay very good money for it. In fact, if I was in Canada, I'd be hounding you already...

A friend of mine got a GBW from Mota ( G13xBlackWidow ) which smelt like rot... Horrible.
I think he has smoked it, i would say like Gert Lush, some indica can totally change in smell and taste after a cure.

Gert I know that gym socks smell. lol I had a White Rhino I grew a few years back that smelled like manure and dirty laundry.

I got a Blue Mystic cross..
it was so high it smelled like acid vomit.
I hated the smell..
but it smoked like a dream..
the smell did not transfer.

i had 2 apollo mist females that smelt like puke.
it literally made you gag when you smelled it.
i didnt keep those 2 clones and kept a less disgusting smelling specimen.
now that i look back, i shoulda kept those stinkers, being the high was better than the cutting i kept.

Hola!!!

I had couple grams of friend grown B-52 -> those buds smelled awful. When the jar was open the whole room started to stink like a combo of rotten meat & fruits!!!

The buds didnt smoke too bad and produced very nice sativa high, kinda creeper high, so I had to take an cut from it

These strains that smell "awful", are many times quite potent. I really wont dish the plant. Like Gert said, grow it, cure it couple months and smell again & sample it.

I had some plants grown from seed, supposedly from a grower in Humboldt. The plants were vigorous and grew massive buds of very potent herb, but...

They smelled like onions. I ended up giving most of it away. Great looking plants, great high, but the taste and smell just weren't for me.

Had a plant do the same... produced HIGH but just made ya want to wretch... lol I DID cure it out..bottled and forgotten (NEVER tasted it but did mark the jars)..about a year later busted out a jar from the "stash"... hmmmm.. different smell...kinda funky... rolled one up and took a couple hits.. put me OUT ON THE COUCH!! Taste was funky but nice.. high was WAY to much for me.. and YEP looked at the lid and it was the "funky"... WISH I'd cloned it now...

I had some Aloha NL x Shiva that absolutely REEKED of garlic and even onions in veg, but smelled like sweet mangoes in mid-flower. Go figure!

My friends used to get this strain called Garlic, which I never liked. They were always stoked when the Garlic came around, but alot of other people I knew hated it like me. Why would you want your smoke to taste like Garlic?? Always made me wonder.

I have also bought a clone of MK-Ultra that I absolutly can't stand. I hate trimming this bitch, I hate handling her at all. Her smell reminds me of dog food. It brings up bad memories of driving past the dog food plant in Flagstaff, the overwhelming dogfood smell. Even when cured for 2.5 months this stuff makes me wanna puke, the dog food smell is just overwhelming.

I have given MK to some of my friends. Alot of my friends have came back liking it and getting more, but then they come back telling me it isn't at all as good as my other strains. Then I tell them how much I hate it and am disgussed by it. They always understand what I am saying. It is just weird that they always like the first bag they get of it and then start dislikeing it after that. I have always hated this plant since first harvest.

I went overboard on the Garlic, I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it either. It was just ok.

The MK-Ultra well, it's like opening up a can of dogfood and taking the biggest bite you can. I would hate that, and I hate this MKultra because it has the same affect. Getting over all the smell and taste, the high is still horrible. Not good enough to out-do the negatives. So yes this is one that I hate, Can't stand being around.

I have a few hermies that I grow because I love their smoke. I don't like that they hermie, but I still grow them and love them (even though they seed my other flavors).

Trust me I love my Mary Jane plants. I treat them like the ladies that they are.

Yeah, I havent found plant that I hate, like I said if plant smells like *__**¨¨* it very often produce very special high -> now that´s what we are all after, right?

Yup I've had some that stunk of rotting flesh and fruit, some that smelled of ..... have you ever lived by a cheese factory..... cheese gas, and some that stunk of locker room sweat. All of those smoked great after a cure.

On the other side of the coin, I had a plant that smelled fantastic like mangos and grapes and when I smoked it It burned the lining of my mouth and throat as if I'd just eaten two bags of salt and vinegar chips,lol. I never could smoke the bud from that plant. I gave it all away (they loved it).
