Termites

Termites love wood, so i have wondered if it would work to be soaking sawdust with boric acid water and then putting that in some sort of container with holes in the lid? If a test of this worked, many of these boric acid containers could be scattered around the property. Sounds far less expensive than some other means.

This type of thing works for ants, but i have used cotton balls soaked up with boric acid and sugar water. The ants take the strands of cotton to the queen(s).

I woke up one morning to find a BIG termite rock concert right in the front doorway, on both sides of the transom/ door molding. THOUSANDS of termites.

Not sure why they chose that morning & that location.

I spread about 10 pounds of wet bird food, a paste filled with stuff they like like corn kernels, all over the bugs.

After a few minutes, the birds came and started eating the bird food, then kept on pecking away at the termites.

Very organic, and very thorough. There may have been a few termites that lived, but they lived by running and hiding.

Borax and sugar slurry is a sure fire ant killer. I also use borax and antifreeze mixed and spray or soak the wood with it.
