from what ive herd its the excess chem's used to process the liners that are causing grief. not to mention the high rate of contamination in chinese products.
the pvc liners were not designed with thoes contaminates in mind...
so the chinese contamination is causing the death, not the pvc liner. i wouldnt be suprised if these things were cladded with lead....

Exactly.

most irrigation stuff isnt pvc anyway the majority of it is made from polyethylene.... apart from rubber hose of course...
the whole pvc in tents issue has been discussed in great detail here...theres a couple of threads about the tents with info in them.
Just so you know though, not all the tents use PVC,, its just these shit ones coming in from china......homebox uses polyethylene which is safe, budbox use PE too I believe.... so its not a tent issue...more a scummy companies squeezing extra profit in through use of cheaper materials issue...

The only company using PVC is HTG in the Chinese tent that they buy from some trading company. It is rather divisive for all of you to keep throwing PVC around and quoting Green Peace when you do not pay attention to the facts.

PE is being used by all companies. You only have Homebox claiming that they now use PU and not PE. Again, nobody else is using PVC unless they buy it from one of the Chinese trading companies that got into the game late and are trying to sell really bad stuff to smaller, unwitting stores like HTG.

With all due respect Mr. Gypsna, not a single company would elect to knowingly screw itself by changing to something that killed plants. This problem seems to emanate from the actual maker of the plastic/canvas composite in China. 4 companies use that same material manufacturer. HTG does not, Darkroom does not (obviously). None of those 4 companies would have wanted to have their product changed for the worse. That notion isn't profitable. The Chinese changed something and aren't admitting it according to what I've been told by more than one company.

^^Your plants are fine.

I, again, would take anything Greenpeace says with a grain of salt.

I use two tents from HTG that both contain PVC and all my plants are thriving. It's all in how the PVC was made/processed. Also, the HydroHuts DO NOT use PVC to my knowledge....
