Hey everyone! It's been a while, but I'm ready to start on my 2nd grow. I just started the germination process tonight; I wasn't going to start my grow log just yet, but what the hell. The strains I'll be growing this round are Mikush and RomP19. I wanted to try growing indicas this time since I had a sativa last year. Well, actually, I liked the C99 so much that I just may have to grow it again. I haven't decided yet. Well, I'm sufficiently stoned and I'm going to go watch the Hitman movie. It better live up to the game, or I'll be pissed. That's why I'm so high right now. That way, if the movie sucks, I'll just think, "Well, at least I'm pretty high." Anyway, I'll be back in a few days. Later! :joint:

 Well howdy B/R, how's it going? How's the family? My son just got his first two teeth a few days ago. He's finally starting to crawl a little bit, too. I've got a small update: both Mikush's and both RomP19 have shown taproots so I put them in some soil yesterday. Also, I decided to try and germ my 6 year old White Widow seeds. So far, nothing. I'll give them a few more days and if nothing happens, I'm going to germ some A11. Well, my son just took a heinous crap (seriously, it happened a few sentences ago) so I'm gonna have to change him. That's one thing I sure won't miss.

Oh by the way, that Hitman movie SUCKS!!! :badday: Shame on Eidos for letting that happen. If you're a fan of the game and haven't seen the movie yet, trust me, you're better off not donating two hours of your life to a bunch of bullshit.

Hey man, family is good. Son has two bottom teeth, he's trying to crawl but nothing yet. Try this method for germinating old seeds... soak them in water for 24 hours.. then take tweezers and gently crack the seeds just enough to say they cracked... on the side of course then do the paper towel thing, should have a tap root in 12 hours.... lol at the crap.... have a good one man.

Hey everyone:wave: Thanks to B/R, I've got two 6 year old White Widow's in the soil :jump: , along with two Mikush's and two RomP19's. Thanks again, B/R! This is going to be a good year, I think. Dr. Dog, what's up, dude? It's good to be back. Sorry I haven't been by the office in a while. I'll swing by in a bit. Drifter, howdy:wave: welcome aboard, my friend. I'm still learning stuff, but I know this grow is gonna rock. Learning from my last grow, I've started waaaaay earlier this year. That alone should make a huge improvement. Also, I'm going to use different pots. Right now they're in 16 oz beer cups, they will then be transplanted into some 88 cent pots. Finally, they will go into some tall black 3 gallon bathroom trashcans. (Thanks to Core for that advice) Also, I'm going to try my hand at topping. Well I'm gonna go make my rounds (finally). See ya.

hey TT. Good to see you back around. Outdoors again I presume?
What a great time to have plants outdoors in AZ.
Perfect weather right now, though it is starting to warm up.
I'm still thinking of ways to lower the temp in my closet a little cooler this next sure-to-be-brutal-summer.
Anyway, they'll have time to get some size this time. and get adjusted to the heat as it comes on.
I bet that WW is going to rock. Those are the ones I'll be watching most.
I guess you liked the Mikush enough to run it again. I'll lay odds that that Rom P19 cross will sit you down on the couch for a while.

Why high hazy:wave:. Glad you could make it through. You're right, it's damn perfect weather for growin' outdoors. Although I can't wait for the temps to get up during nighttime. Right now, it's sitting at a very cool mid 40's. I'll be keeping an eye on the WW's also, since those seeds were the very first I ever bought. They are from Sensi's White Label line. I decided to go with the Mikush again since last year both of them turned out to be male :spank: And I've always wanted to grow the RomP19. Starting out this early and with the final transplant into 3 gallon pots, I'm hoping they'll get much bigger this year. Hopefully 3-4 feet. Plus I'm going to top them all very early, just like Core and Mr. GreenJeans do. I just gotta track 'em down to see when and where they cut. Well, it's about my bedtime so I'll check back in a few days. Maybe I'll even have a few pics of my seedlings.

Must be the start of a new grow season! :woohoo:

I'm having a positive grow with the WW...I wish you the best of luck with yours :ying:

You know you can always count on me to stop by when I can

Looking forward to next time

TML:wave: Yeah, it's the start of another growing season. Yippie for me, because I'm actually starting on time this year. If you remember I didn't even really start till August last year, I think. I'll swing by your place in a bit. Should be nice to have a gander at your WW so I have something to look forward to.

2cool2:wave: How's it going, buddy? Glad to have ya. Hope you enjoy watching my babes grow as much as I do.

A bit of an update: There may be a change in this season's line-up. These WW's are giving me nothing but grief already. One pretty much committed suicide. It's stem was super flimsy; it couldn't even hold it's tiny little first leaves, so I put it out of it's misery. :badday: The other one is so tiny, but it's holding up pretty well. I've got one more WW seed germinating, using B/R's method, but I think these seeds are pretty much dead. So, with that in mind, I do believe I'm going to get some Apollo 11 in the mix. I'll leave the remaining WW and keep my fingers crossed for a female. Ya know what? Fuck it, I'm just going to start the A11 right now. If the other WW germs, that will give me a total of 8 plants/4 varieties. :jump:

Hey Core! I like leaving no trail :muahaha: it's fun being low key. I remembered you did some really early topping in your What's to come in 2007 thread. It was like really early topping. I think after the first set of leaves. I wasn't sure so I was just wondering if you could clarify it for me. Mr. GreenJeans did the same thing and said he got the advice from you. He actually topped the tops, so he ended up with 4 colas. That's what I'm going for. So I'm coming to the source himself. Thanks for the luck, but....as luck would have it, another WW just lumped over and gave up on life. That's okay, though. I wasn't expecting much. These were 6 year old seeds. I threw in a couple of Rompstar's to fill in for the WW's. So the line up is now: 2 Mikush (Mikado x BC Kush), 2 RomP19's (Romberry{Romulan x Blueberry} x Peak 19), 2 Apollo 11's, and now 2 Rompstars (RomP19 x Texas Mystic). Screw the WW for now.

Whats up TT glad to see your back in the game again. i hope your winter went well but for outdoor growers we def. like summer better huh. sounds like youve got quite the selection. If I were you I would let your plants get a little bigger than second set of leaves before you top them maybe 3-4 sets then pinch. Thats what i always did and they never had any problems. Then a few weeks later pinch pinch again and wham several nice fat main colas. Good luck !!!

Sounds great bro!!!
I definitely be lurking :lurk:
Good luck!

as far as I know topping is done in veg to create multiple tops. (if you top the plant in veg 2 times you will end up with 4 tops...and so on...) Also look into the "FIM technique" for creating multiple tops...sometimes as many as 5 or more..

tipping is done in early flower to promote fatter individual colas.

yep anima is completly right.....but i wanne add that you better start topping when the 3th ,4th or 5th node has appeard....and i also would 't top her to much...unless you want her in a scrog afterwards...4 or 6 mains would be the nicest to start with imho..but then again this is all depending on how she grows and acts...why you may ask yourself?
i have done topppings after one node but that is just useless imo...most of the time i remove everything under the 4th node when put in flower...as that growth does't produce anything then popcornbuds....(atleast with my 600's it is)....Nway removing these branches and popbuds wil result in better and bigger tops coz all of the remaining energy will be put in making the cola..
so thats my Xp ...hope this helps a bit...

What's up, fellas? Got a mini update, it's not much: RompStars are now in the soil and tiny little taproots are coming out of the A11's, so they should be joining their sisters soon. By the way, does anybody have any info on Texas Mystic? I know it's in RompStar, but I have no info about it. I heard that it's a cross between Trainwreck and something. Anybody feel like shedding some light?

InNV:wave: hey bud, how're the slopes treating you? It's nice to be back here. It felt like spring was never going to come. Hopefully this will be a much better show than last time.

Sammet:wave:lurk all you want, but don't be shy now! I'm still a noob, so any advice from you, or anybody for that matter, will be greatly appreciated. Post as needed, my friend.

Anima:wave:Good to have you in my thread! I can't wait to grow these babies out. I think I was confused about tipping/topping. I'm not too sure my thumb is green enough to try tipping yet. But I'm definitely going to try topping on all of them.

Core:wave:Ah, the mighty Core! :respect: Your advice is always welcome here, my friend. I'm not sure where I got the whole topping right after the first set of leaves idea. Maybe I imagined it all in some stoned haze? Once they get big enough, I'll start posting pics and then I'll be bugging you again for advice on topping.
