i'm having similar problems, but my cab is outside. its around 75degree highs here in the summer, so i was thinking about just having a 465cfm blower with the intake leading outside. Do yout hink that would drop temps at all? i'm getting 88 degree highs now in teh box. Do i need to just get a 5000 btu AC unit?

Small cabs with HIDs in the summeer yes an AC is gonna be yer only hope.If its outside hopefully its outa sight so you can stick a window unit in the side of it.If not you could always build a lung room if the cab is big enuff.Just mount the ac in a false wall in between the outside wall of the cab and your room.Vent heat from the ac into it and just have a small unnoticable hole in the outside with a fan pushing that heat out. There is always a way only limiting factors are yer wallet and yer imagination.Good luck folks but remember only half a cycle and SUMMERS OVER!!!!YAY!!!!HOORAY!!WAHOOO!!!The man upstairs can take this season and stik it!!Fall year round!!That would be a perfect world!!!!

I have no AC and my room is 80 at night 80-90 daytime. I run 12/12 during the night and have a blue blower (like the stanley but stronger, $53 at lowes 300 CFM at max 3 speed) at the top of cab with intake at the bottom. With the cabinet closed it is 3 degrees over room temp with the fan on low. During the day, the cab is 1 degree cooler than room temp with the lights off. I have a 6" cooltube with 6" ducts 250 HPS. Oh, and my measurements are from the canopy.
