C.A.P. makes decent product at an afordable price,Some people like them some don't.
I will sayfrom experiance If you really want to start getting an enviormental control unit like the cap 1 think toward the future and upgrade to what your budget will allow .
I started with a cap 3 and by the time i was done I ended up with a cap co2 4e.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAP-AIR-1-T...693?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eba45cacd or for an extra 70 bucks tou can get this

you 'll get a lot more for your moneyIMO

i personally think you got to sit down and decide where your growing is going to get to i mean as you get better you will want to upgrade and during upgrade you don't want to have stuff you won't use its like buying a Hyundai, or a corvette good products aren't cheap , your mentioning temp and humidity are your future plans possibly having a go with c02 ????
its always better to upgrade above then just upgrade and in the long run you will save rather then having lots of growing misc stuff that is used and worthless

The bonus to a couple Cap units is the the upgrade option. For $250 I got a contol thats upgradeable without having wasted equipment.
bottom left is the upgrade to controll ppms..Bad part is its $300.
But either way consider your options

i agree with ya. whos co2 controller u using? looks like not a hydro store brand(which is good). yeah, i hear where u are coming from. i dont worry bout co2.. my bottle days are way behind me. besides if i want co2, ill run the propane heater and vent anyway, monitoring ppms isnt a priority. yeah, you def have a valid point though. i agree.

Hey, the CAP TMP-DNe is junk. Inaccurate and in a very flimsy package.

i wouldnt say complete junk, it pretty much failed on all the primary ffunctions ecept for the high low , and the degrees alignment is pretty way off,

now that i think of it , yea i woulndt buy one again,

some of thier gear works, the day night photo/cell 110 is
decent unit and thier humidity/ dehumity HUM1 control is good as ive tried

I'm not a hater. Just like you, I saw the unit and thought it would be a good one for me. I didn't do my homework and later found out that lots of these are returned because they don't work. Period. Search here on ICMag and you will find other posts that talk about how their $85 CAP controller is sitting on the shelf gathering dust. I was just trying to warn you, brother, but maybe you gotta learn the hard way like me....

heres how i look at it , i would like to run certain equipment during certian times, and i want to be able to run that equipment at a certain level,

i think it comes down to preferance, if you have the room i would suggest a controller for every aspect of the grow . ie temp, humidity, co2 level, generally thats a lot of plugs and outlets

i can combine my
110 cap photocell to my co2 contoller and gas only at night,

as ar as temp control up and down that ones tough depends if you are using a ac unit or a vented system that dumps air,

some of those nifty spendy controlers have features that are specific, for certain spects of ventialation and such,

in the end ya get what ya pay for and good controllers are NOT:artist: cheap

hows that controller been treating you? whats the temp/humidity differential? 3 or 5 percent?
Ive just been testing and temp and humidity are right on to other thermometers I have

the cap high temp shutoff i have is a diffrent story runs about 3 degrees higher

"does yours have different day night temp settings?"
wtf do you think,it called a heater if needed but considering i grow inside my temps at nite stay the temp of my house roughly.never mind the fact the only thing that shuts off at nite is co2

"i can combine my
110 cap photocell to my co2 contoller and gas only at night,"

Why use gas at night ? Thats useless gas at lights on not off
