Tell me about flouros!

Im setting up a veg box right now (two rubbermaid containers on top of each other) and need a light source that wont melt the top of the plastic tub (400w mh was killing it). I decided on going with flouros and just basically want some general information about them.

Im planning on vegging around 15 plants in half gallon square containers and hopefully getting them around 1 foot tall before flowering under a 1k mh.

How many watts should I aim for?

Whats the best type of light for vegging?

whats the most cost effective system?

Any other information you can throw at me would be awesome.

It kinda depends on the cost factor imo. Our hobby is expensive but when ya consider the time and the hastle it takes to get the hook up I feel every penny spent is well spent.

For the beans I use a 125 in a hood in a new CloneBox:

And then will move to BOB (Box Of Bud) the further their growth:

If I had it to do over again I would go with the 4 foot Sat light and be done with it. the light thats spread from it is Greater than the 400 watter you see above but as I said they are expensive (For The Good One's That Is).
