 Hoping to start a small archive here relating to just the taste of specific strains. I am always curious about the flavor of many strains that i have not yet tried, so a few short words will do fine. K+ and a big thanks to members who help make this happen. :rasta:

Serious seeds : Ak47 (flintstones vitamins, strong taste on exhale)

Jerry Berry (Vt. Cut) : (christmas tree, slight skunk, smooth)

O.G kush.... the tastiest strain I've smoked in my lifetime. Tastes like sprite, piney fuel and a dank deepness that's hard to put a finger on

I love it when a strain tastes like it smells...I really enjoy a good orange strain that tastes like oranges and smells like a fresh peeled orange.

I see you know Richie Blackmores rainbow - greeeeat band.
But i allway loved the taste of Nirv. Bubbelgum and HIndu Kush.
One like a smooooooth slow berry taste and the later spicy, dark. total Indica.
Peace to all.
PS. try Kodiak Gold - talk about complex taste her :muahaha:

One phenotype of Bogglegum tasted and smelled exactly like, i kid you not, Hubba Bubba brand chewing gum......it was uncanny!!!!

Also there's a pheno of love potion that tastes like Root Beer.....

I'm still looking for the "Grapefruit" pheno of Soma's NYCD that smells like ripe red grapefruits.....

I guess i do gravitate toward the sweet tastes!!!

:ying: kind regards from a guineapig :ying:

There was a mother plant we had going for a couple years that came from a seed that was found in two pounds of ECSD from NY. Out of the vaporizer it tasted *just like* Country Time Pink Lemonade. Soo tastey

Possibly the bud wasn't cured long enough, or at all? Curing brings flavors out in pretty much any kind of bud :joint:

RevolutionX-I can't agree with you more about the AK-47. I had a plant that was just like Flinstones vitamins. I also had an AK-47 x Sensi Star that was intense Flintstone vitamins. The taste, the smell, everything was just like Flintstones. So much so that we nicknamed her Flintstone.
Peace, Mr.M

Purple Ice - Lavender Potpurri

Bubba Kush - Strong Piney scent with very VERY SUBTLE hints of fruitiness

Strawberry Cough - Smells kinda like tomatoes, but more apt is the scent of Strawberry seeds

Lemon Cough - Straight up Citrus lemon

Taste/Smell - Sweet, Pine/Peen (glue, or thinner, or fuel from 1970's elementary school), a present backround subtleness of fat vanilla, also the taste of the color purple without grapiness at all, lastly, some tone of a citrus analog.

Don't give up George! I, too, thought that I just didn't have the taste buds to detect cannabis flavor. The first few grows I did were with Nirvana Seed Co. beans, which is pretty common with new growers because they are so affordable. The plants I grew had real great buzz qualities, but seemed to have no taste at all.

About a month ago, I ran across a thread here that had a post saying the Nirvana plants frequently are low in the flavor department. That would make sense, afterall, there has to be some difference in their genetics and those of the more expensive varieties, and if they were going to skimp on any phenotype, I'm sure they would tend to skimp on flavor, rather than skimping on the potency factor.

So, I just got done growing a couple of new strains, not from Nirvana this time, but from Sunshine Seeds. I grew a Haze Skunk, and, what do ya know, the smoke had flavor! I mean FLAVOR!! So I have a feeling that in order to be certain to get a great tasting strain, investing in the more "elite" strains might be necessary.

But that is a generalization...I'm sure there are shitloads of people who have their own experience with cheaper seeds that gave them killer phenotypes in the taste dept. When all gets averaged though, I'd bet that the great breeders out there turn out the tastier crops.
