Does any have a better taste?

Which one has the 'loudest' smell?

From reading Malawi, Tikal, and Panama have great yields. Is there a clear winner here though?

If you give an opinion and have only smoke certain ones please state that :tiphat:

Thanks for everyone's information.

Hi 40AmpstoFreedom,

If you are considering only the terpenes (aroma and taste), then Panama is probably the strain among these 3 that in average produces higher content of terpenes and a more complex terpene profile, although the Tikal peach incensey phenos and strawberry phenos come close to Panama in this sense. Both Tikal and Panama have the potential to produce very complex and desirable terpene profiles.

Malawi on the other hand hasn't got in average such complex terpenes, Malawi has been bred mainly for the killer potency, long lasting effects, high vigor, high yields, high resin content and huge size of the trichomes. Although there are some Malawi phenos (the fruity ones) that have very desirable and quite refined aromas of sweet carrot, sweet orange or mandarine.

Hope it helps with your doubts! :tiphat:

I'll agree with Dubi ( of coarse). Panama has has that amazing old school sativa taste . Malawi can be old oil, or old oil and strong aged fruit, which can be quite nice..Tikal reminded me of old Mexican crossed with panama. You won't go wrong with any of them . And they all cross well .

tried all 3

i had 2 panama... the Panama keeper was great smooth tasty incense smoke right off the stem(and just got better), winner of the yummiest plant award... the other panama was loudest, quick pheno. lower yeilder than her sister and sort of regular smell.

tried 2 malawi...malawi NEEDED a cure to be appreciated properly. both mine were chunky. i would guess that malawi is the yeild winner.. with some panama pheno's coming close

only tried one tikal, loved it. stretchy guatamalan 12 wk pheno. panama was tastier, malawi yeilded better. found them all potent. but tikal was just so friendly

in terms of effect, they are all so different from each other

Grown and smoked all 3. Without question Panama wins for effects, taste, yield, growth and looks if looks count haha. The Panama I grew was CBG/Aces 3rd generation, now on 8th. Everything one would look for in genetics imo I agree with Dubi. Spot on yet again. Happy growing.

Second this notion, they look crazy vigorous, both crosses actually.

I've grown/smoked a few Panamas and a couple Tikals, no Malawi. Nice to see everyone's pretty much in agreement; Panama for flavor, yield, overall killer, easy plants with some ridiculously addictive terpenes and production. Very oldschool pot, delicious and dreamy, though I've had phenos with very dense Colombian highs, usually the fat, red ones. These have killer bag appeal.

Tikal was the first Ace strain I harvested and smoked, 2 peach sherbet plants with dense buddage that yielded well and had a spiritual high, pretty complex, though less strong than Panama. Still have a bit of it around after more than a year; I'll have to break it out:biggrin:
