Tahoe OG X Afghani - Wut to expect?

Hi IC, long time lurker here and could not remember my old username. So made a new one

I just picked up Tahoe OG x Afghani from Seedbay, I believe it's old stock leftover from previous site?

Anyway, has anyone grown this cross before? Going in a 3x3 with LED

I love OGK types. I liked Afghani effects but wasn't the liveliest flavor. However the only Afghani I've tried is recently in Colorado & I've read that it may not have been best representation of the strain. Is there a hashy pheno of Afghani?

I think most Afghani plants were originally used to make hashish. So I bet you'll find something for that at least.

You’re going to find a lot of plants that looks exactly like OG. Some a little stockier. May stack a bit better in some phenos. It’s really not a pairing that creates a lot of variation. That said, doesn’t mean it’s not good.

I think those were dropped by mjpassion. I also have a nice sack of those from back in 2016
Haven't popped any yet so let us know how they grow.

I think Tom is correct. The pack I got was through the Bay and from MJP - who I haven't seen around in some time - and are F3s. Does your package say F3? I ended up with two girls from five seeds.

Supposed to be a real old school Afghani. Pre-Soviet if I remember correctly. If you buy into such claims.

Let us know how you get on - I think I have ten seeds left, or was there twenty in the pack?

beautiful plants. How'd they smoke & yield? I've come across mentions of pre-soviet afghan but I dont profess to know shit about that

hopefully popping a few of these once I get them & will report back. I have some old bagseed germing right now but they aren't doing much but swelling.

I remembered it being more than 10 but wasn’t sure if 15 or 20. I grew these two plants along with others in either my very first or second full LED grow - no HID. They were flowered under a 420w COB panel. If you look at the upper left corner of the third pic you can see one of the other plants in there didn’t fare as well. I found both these plants to be resilient. They didn’t stretch much, they didn’t yield much. They probably should’ve been vegged longer. MJP had said this line is a real knockout. That’s why I got it. Neither plant produced that effect, but again it was the first run of them and surely not grown to potential as also a first LED grow. The one on the right had a real lemon peel nose. The one on the left was more subtle, if not more hashy. They smoked nice, nothing to complain about, but just did not have the raw power I was looking for. Few years ago now so can't be more descriptive...

I was just going to give a rundown until I read your prediction. Found myself thinking that sounded about right even though I am not real familiar with OGK, so added the pics.

Well, I can't get any of these beans to germ. I have 7 left that I'll save for a later time when I feel like a challenge

I am 4/4 on the Headgames 3 freebies - not what I was going for but they appear to be damn vigorous
