To tell you the truth is really hard to pick out what you want to grow for your first time. Everybody says they want a high yielder for minimal work, but that's just as good as saying "I'm lazy" or "My time investment is worth more than normal." We shouldn't fool ourselves, we all need to learn to walk before we can run and that is key. I recently made the choice for myself and it's pretty difficult. So many people will tell you different things. I just chose something that sounded good and looked nice and went to research it. Mine turned out to be Sweet Tooth. I know that as long as it grow(not all male of course) then I'll be happy with it. It will definately beat the hell out of any bud around here and it comes from my labor of love

I think going cheap is a great idea. I didnt realize this was the first time you were ordering seeds, so you should use it as a learning experience. That is a great idea, hashberry, yes good way to go. White rino is also another good one from what I have read. A few people mentioned seni star, which is a fantastic indica, but not a heavy producer, with little strech. Good luck.

those who know, responses would help..

with what your saying.. about finding these rare phenos in mk-ultra/ the hog...

what if you just bought a 10 pack of one of those strains.. and made a shitload of f2 beans..i mean... like a thousand... would you then have a chance at finding these phenos? I guess what im asking.. is ..even if you use 2 non phenos (hogsbreathg, etc) to breed more seeds ...are your chances of finding the pheno in the f2's.. the same?

Do Not Buy The HOG.

Bullshit phenotypes to be had. I grew it, it sucks hard.

The HOGSBREATH is an elite clone only, and you will likely not find it in seed form. The HOGSBREATH is what you want though, if you can get it... but it's clone only, really.

ezbake- DO NOT order Thseeds Hog, unless you order 10 packs at a time. STILL you will have a hard time finding that "hogsbreath pheno". FUCK THSEEDS for advertising BULLSHIT.

Don't take offense , but it is a disgrace to call THSeeds Hog the Hogsbreath.....The real Hogsbreath is a damn legend in my area and it's gone I have seen and grown all the fakes on the boards and nothing comes close (inciuding the "Hogsbreath pheno" of THSeeds HOG)....The smell of this strain is so damn strong it can penetrate jars, walls, vaccum sealing etc....The Hogsbreath is pure kill bud....I have not seen it in 10 years....

First choice would be Taskenti from Canna.....Also Try Afghani from Sensi Seeds or the Bubble Gum from THSeeds or Serious as others suggested...Paradise Sensi star is nice to for what you are looking to achieve....

Mandala's Hashberry and Speed QUeen are my two picks.

I figure im still learning, they are really good strains, and only $45 USD for BOTH 10 packs. I shouldnt go spending $150+ on 2 packs of seeds yet... and it's going to be really potent and tasty no matter what. And these two strains actually meet all of my "requirements"

And plus, i want to use the T5 flouro's.... im about to spend 400 on that bullshit , so it would help to down size my seed cost

You will love the T-5's. I have them for vegging and for my clones. I could not be more happy with them. You made the right choice's my friend. I promise they will be as good or better than most of what you have smoked. Take WZ's advice on the HOG, it's just not in there. I would not call it false advertising, but TH Seeds should have known better.

Yo as some of u know ive been posting like crazy trying to find the best strain for SOG. A 55-60 day indica that yields a LOT and is really potent...

I want to get these but I think the high yield trait is lacking in these...

After looking at THSeed's HOG it seems it yields VERY well...
One grow report claimed 4 plants per sq ft and he would yield 5 oz per sq foot, not bad (SOG)

Anyone have experience with the HOG?

I really want 2 strains not just 1... so does anyone know another strain that is similar to the HOG? Meaning it is fast, and yields a LOT (indica).

How is the strain big bud? Good for sog? Indica dominant?

I have grown and smoked all of those strains you listed. If you want a fast compact indica well suited for SOG, then I have 2 words for you: Sensi Star

I have a bunch of Hogsbreath x Blueberry beans from an old OG buddy. A hybrid of the true Hogsbreath is the only way to have seeds unless it was selfed.

The whole "rare pheno" deal is, IMO, yet another scam from one of the most dishonest industries on the planet -- the MJ seed industry. If a breeder has done his work well, you should be able to get a good representative of the strain in a single pack. You should be able to find a much better than average girl in three or four packs. If it takes 10 packs to find this "rare pheno," then the strain really isn't stabilized at all.

I will bet you that you can take any closet breeder's polyhybrid mish-mash of a strain, and if you grow out 100 seeds worth, you will probably find a least one nice mother. I think breeders and their online shills often make up bullshit about some incredible "rare pheno" to get people to buy lots of overpriced seeds. Hardly anyone ever comes online to call "bullshit" on the whole thing because nobody wants to look like a jackass for spending $1,000 in seed and not getting a keeper. There is also this stupid hippy vibe in the cannabis comunity that says you shouldn't come online and start with all the "negativity" by flaming dishonest, lazy breeders.

I'd say try out White Rhino or some other inexpensive strain first. If it turns out not to be the cat's ass, what have you lost? $15, right?

get a pack of blockhead and play with it....ive seen 3 foot baseball bat buds.....that was with the original blockhead release.....i think steve re-released it if you will....would assume parents are the same.....good luck...elk

yield is ok , they dont stretch much , so its easy controllable , there are some less desirable phenos in the bunch but they are potent alltogether

Man the Hogsbreath......All time #1 for me. I Had it and it made me sweat like a mofo. lol my cousin went straight to bed.........lol good memories. I this was back in 98' central cali. I hope it is still around somewhere???????? My super silver sour diesel haze comes close to high and the tatse is better...but again I cant find seeds of that either...........

Mysta177 you were lucky bc you probably had the real HOG not the bs THseeds is selling.

I bought two 10 packs of THSeeds HOG from the PBG in Berkeley and was very diappointed in the final smoke. We grew it indoor and outdoor. The one good thing I can say is this strain is an insane yielder outdoors. Were getting about a Pound a plant outdoors, but not worth the time to keep growing it for another season. I was bummed too, bc I had done some research on the internet and heard some great things form HOG.

I am currently growing some strains with a buddy. He picked HOG and Chronic as his 2 strains of choice. HOG, although it has not finished or even begun flowering... has proven to be sensitive versus many of the others I have started along side of it, or behind it. If you want to follow the remainder of my HOG grow I will be more than happy to post on it for you to follow. I am no noob. I have a couple under my belt and shook my head when one strain could do so well, and another so poorly under the same "general" premium growing conditions. I wont totally prejudge, and set aside all comments made by others until I see for myself. Hell my buddy has it now and we are "sharing" the take. But thus far she has lacked severely.

I'd be inclined to recommend crop's suggestion of Sensi Star. I have grow a SS crossed to SWT#3 and it was magnifico! Bred by an old OG buddy of mine, Shocks. I would also co-sign with another poster's comment of going with Rez's strains. Especially any that say "good yeilder". Because the good pheno(s) WILL produce an above averagetake, while remaining truly top notch herb your "friends" will rave about for years. My Double Sour Diesel was off the chain. I currently have Sour Diesel IBL on wait, and 5 Strawberry Diesel that just popped 2 days ago. I would buy ANYTHING Rez put out. I wont be anything to piss at fo' sure. I also like Sargarmatha's Bubbleberry. It was my FIRST documented Seed Co. original grow. It was indeed an easy grow that had a good noob "damage" buffer, produced good and the smoke was great.

Said all that to again reiterate...

Dont buy HOG.

Ill give you an unbias report when mine are done. Thus far they have proven to be tempermental.
