Swamp Grows

I only put in a few drops of the neem extract I have per quart/or liter. It's supposed to also be a mild foliar fertilizer, maybe it was just too much? I've never had any weird effects really.

ya i have no idea.. i got a bottle of neem from the hydro store.. the really thick oil.. and i mixed the way it says.. sprayed my plants.. and they all turned like this darker green.. and the tips would curl up and burn .. this was indoors.. with lights off until after it dried.. and still had wierd effects.. no clue.. but i made a good mix... do 1 half cup of whole milk.. 12 egg yolks only.. some pepper seed.. and black pepper. and a little bit of urine.. dilute with water.. let it bath in the hot heat..and stew.. it will stink.. but it keeps the deer and other animal away.. just like liquid FENCE.. the dude who told me about this mix.. is 50 . been growing since he was in his early 20s.. and been usign this mix for 10-15 years with success.. he also.. said. in swamps.. if u plant a few piece of shit plants.. closer to the wood line.. they will eat that .. as a diversion from the rest of the crop.. i havent tried that yet.. but the mix worked great last year.. no animals.. and very little bugs.. i didnt spray my plants with it . just around the spot.. pretty heavily.. also.. go to a barber.. ask for hair for your garden.. and spread that shit around.. will keep animals away..

the only thing i have trouble with is slugs.. so i gotta run down to homedepot. and grab some copper wire.. and wrap the stalks up.. works good.. also use slug pellets.. to get rid of them from the area.. i gotta raise my plants off the ground.. until the swamp dries up a bit.. then ill go drop them on the soil i have already out there.. and wont need to water.. ill just sprinkle some flower nutes around the top of the plants.. and let the rain do the rest.

Thanks for the animal repellant mixture

1/2 cup whole milk
12 eggs
chili pepper and black pepper
mix with water, let it sit in the sun for a couple days.

Then spray it all over around my plants? Will it keep cows away?

Hey Core, was just checking out your album.......Everything looks great!! Those auto beds are doin killer man, Im doing that next year for sure!!

Ive been having issues with my auto tote.........went to check on the babys and something had dug up the seedlings.......and took a shit right in the middle of it, no joke. Ive replaced some and they seem to be doing ok.

I still have my totes in the "veg" area, I wont be moving them out until there ready to transplant directly into the totes.......Makes it a little easier for now.

I snapped some pics, just gotta get rid of the geo crap and then I'll post them........My plants are still pretty small but there chugging along.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the nice words! Those autos I am running were bred by a member on here that lives a good bit farther north than I do. So they have been specifically bred to be strong and perform in incredibly bad weather. So that is why they look great. I have actually done very little to them. Just water and bio bizz thats all.

Do you have any idea what dug up your plants? Was there something in the soil that would attract any animal in peticular?

Im using the same soil in all of my pots and totes........So Im kinda baffled as to why something chose to specifically dig up that tote? Ive cleaned out the animal crap that was left in it and replaced it with more soil and threw in some more auto's......But im gonna crack another 10 auto's to cram in there for shits and gigg's.........probably a skunk or coon I'm thinking......we got a lot in the area.

My Mountain Jam2's are doing pretty good, Ive got 5 of them. My Kannabia auto's are doing well. Medicine man, guerrilla gold #2, and Jack pine are still quit small but coming along.

Ive also put up and reinforced extra fencing/chicken wire just to make sure the critters keep out, fishing line perimeter fence is working great for keeping the deer out though so that's cool.

Cool to hear about the auto's, I'm most definitely gonna do that next season.......Hopefully I'll be able to make seed this season from the frost dragons and the 60 day wonder and 60 day lemons......thats the plan anyway.

Keep up the good work buddy!

Raccoons and Opossums will dig up the soil searching for bugs or sumthin to eat.
They'll even dig out your main rootball sometimes and leave the plant on the ground.
A good fence is a great idea.

I'd be concerned about the aerial view & helicopter flyovers.

Something man-made might be real easy to see from a height.

Hey RoadRash. I would normally be concerned with aerial surveillance but I live in Sweden. They don't waste money on aerial surveillance for cannabis. They rely on "good citizens" people reporting it after they stumble across it or a grow partnership goes bad. My plants were started 1 1/2 months ago and so far the only problem has been the cows. Crossing my fingers for a nice harvest! But if I lived in the USA I would definitely worry about eyes in the sky.

been known to hang around marshes myself...

most recently i have hauled in dirt and mounded it up so it raised the rootzone high enough out of the water. no pics of that...

i have also used 50 gallon totes with 80% of the bottoms cut out. i haul in dirt and i make the mix VERY perlite heavy. perlite is essential to
aid wicking.
and i bury the tote so that bottom 3" or so is standing water, then i start adding the soil mix.

some swamp grown sour d x og k...

what if you had a swamp to that you could not get to all the time...Like maybe only once a week or every two weeks ? Would it be OK you think to go with vermiculite instead of the perlite ? Or maybe at least a 50-50 mix of the two or something ? :ying:
