Man I am glad to hear you made it out alive. That is one thing that always scares me even if i wasn't a grower. I know how many stupid people do stupid shit everyday and it can happent o you.

I want to get a handgun for home safety and get my ccw for safety in general, crazys are everywhere. Only thing stopping me is that damn law where if you get found guilty of a feolny with a gun you get automatic non-negotiable 2 years in prison. Now I am a legal patient and caregiver, I follow my plant limits but sometimes you end up with more medicine then your supposed to. Even if I am legal the cops still find ways to fuck you, and that automatic two year thing is a big turn off.

I have been thinking about this for a longtime, and it seems I am always leaning on the "be prepared for the piggys" rather then "be prepared for crooks". After reading this thread and typing this response I think it just hit me that i will take a chance of 2 years of my life rather then my whole life. Feeling defenseless with the possibility of someone robbing you blind makes my stomach turn.

I may just say fuck it and go get my shit, to many idiots runnig around out there.

Hours earlier, someone had broken into John Pontolillo's house and taken two laptops and a video-game console. Now it was past midnight, and he heard noises coming from the garage out back.

The Johns Hopkins University undergraduate didn't run. He didn't call the police. He grabbed his samurai sword.

With the 3- to 5-foot-long, razor-sharp weapon in hand, police say, Pontolillo crept toward the noise. He noticed a side door in the garage had been pried open. When a man inside lunged at him, police say, the confrontation was fatal.

"He was backed up against a corner and either out of fear or out of panic, he just struck the sword with force," said Baltimore Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. "It was probably with fear for his life."

Pontolillo, who rents the house in the 300 block of E. University Parkway in the Oakenshawe neighborhood, struck the intruder no more than twice, police say, nearly severing his left hand and inflicting what police termed a "spear laceration."

He was cleared of all charges.

I was hit in the arm with .380 but luckily it didn't hit bone/nerves. I have college age kids
and roll with FAM only. 10 invasions in neighborhood in the last 3 months so take ALL precautions. This was done by goons under 20 & 2 different ethnic groups so I ain't gone candy coat shit. Don't say what you would of done until you have survive your own ordeal! I have taken the necessary steps to ensure this will NEVER happen & will shovel their taco meat when its over.

I was shot at 5 times and hit once a few nights ago ....
Police caught suspects who were on their 2nd trip in 2 nights taking my meds & trying to enter my front window.God blessed me to stay here and hope all take the precautions because Jackers will KILL YOU! Home security is a must in addition to dogs & Heat if possible.
