supercropping?

This is my method for multi-colas/supercropping:
Whatever you think you shouldn't do or would hurt the plant, within reason, "Do It"......The plant will come back stronger and larger.........Some of the best/bushiest plants I've had were one's I thought I ruined......Other than severing the main stalk or removing all the leaves, It is really pretty difficult to "execute" a plant

I don't really think it's necessary to break there necks, unless you are dealing with height issues. I did it one year outdoors and i got mold on one right at the 90° crook where the buds were overlapping.

Just lightly(firmly) cracking the cambium from two angles is enough to stall vertical growth and redirect some hormones.

Well...

Well...

From my experience with both herb and tomatoes (what it was developed on) the main use isn't to change it's growth direction, although it is very effective for that, but rather to increase the delivery of nutrients to your fruit/flowers. I can't really say how well it does except with tomatoes, as I haven't had enough plants I was willing to experiment of the same strain, all cloned, same times, etcetera.

I use it when I see early in flower that I will have difficulty with a particularly heavy bud or branch later on, so I "supercrop" it every inch or so for a month which keeps me from having to rig some creative support structure. When it comes to how well it heals, particularly if you split it I had a bad accident that shows how resilient these weeds are.

While trying to arrange a large plant in my 2'x2' scrog I split the end 3 1/2" down. Imagine pulling two branches apart, absolutely freaked me out. I did what I would do if I had done it to a bonsai and "tied" it together with twisties, 4 if I remember correctly, pretty tight so that it was held together well. Sure enough, it healed so well that section turned out to be twice the thickness of the rest of the trunk and all the while with no obvious dropoff in tip and bud growth.

I don't recommend doing that, but don't be to worried if you think you've damaged it, just give it time. Above all, I would say make sure that if it is very limp find a way to keep it where you would like that branch to be. After it's there, that section will not move. Just like scar tissue in a tendon or ligament, it doesn't like to move at all.

Just my :2cents: :joint:

Aw @#$%*! Sorry I missed this when it would've done you some good. I curled stems over and tied them to themselves. Oddly, most of them kept going in a circle rather than turn to the light. The "top" keeps growing while those along the cusp of the curl vie for supremacy. Left some interesting shapes at harvest.

supercropping in late flower when necessary isn't so bad. But I find it only exposes half of the bud to the light which has led to some funky lookin colas. But when trimmed and dried it's harder to notice.

Run a couple wraps of electrical tape around the tips of some needle nosed pliers.

You'll be amazed at how small a space you can fit them in and supercrop.
CAREFUL...... You'll crush the stem before you feel it in the handles, most of the time.

Nice little snap from tiny seedlings is great. Couldn't get my fingers in there if I tried.

Enjoy

I beat the living fuck out my girls, and they LOVE it :D

Read one of my grows, you'll see me snapping girls over left and right. Blocking light? SNAP.

And I have to say, the buds look bulkier on those branches, but I think it's just appearance.

I have three plants that I snap the main stalk the day they go into flower.
They produce much better with it than without it.

I have another couple that I run that if I do the same thing they die.

Not to butt in but, I found this on one of my plants. I find it very wierd since I've never ever seen this happen ever since I started growing 10 years ago.

It is on the very begining of the leaf right where the stem hits the leaf fingers. There is two Calxes with pistals commin out of it.
