fantastic for transplant shock and seedlings, and when used in moderation during veg. 10 drops per gal for transplants, 3 drops per gallon with regular feedings. bog likes to use it at the beginning of flower i think, probably to help with light shock and since it's an essential time for healthiness to create the budsites. but don't use the superthrive during flower. and never in hydro.

i forget anything? hehe peace n green thumbs FT

Superthrive does wat it says, that's for sure!
Always use it when potting on, and also when switching to 12/12.
No complaints here, that's for sure.

Is super thrive like a nute, or wat exactly is it suppose to do? And is it ok to use when seeds first sprout? Hehe i ask so many questions, I'm just so curious.

It might be worth noting that since the product contains the growth regulator (hormone) auxin in synthetic form, its overuse could cause defoliation, at least in dicots.

I can't find another link that went it more detail about superthrive and the affect that hormone has. If I recall correctly, it can create a building in the tips that are similar to what happens after topping. This however led to less yield.

I'll try and find the article, but I did stop using ST after reading it.

Here are other tid bits of info. Take it all with a grain of salt ;)

Napthylacetic acid and Indole3 Butyric Acid are supposed to help promote root growth and there's good evidence that it does....however, as with all nutrients/hormones, they are only effective when surrounded in the adequate environment for uptake and assimilation.

A couple thigns I DO know....Napthylacetic acid actually will INHIBIT growth at higher concentrations. It is used by professionals to prevent premature flower drop in fruitplants, so it can prolong flowers....can be a bad thing when your flower has THC which is degrading in light and air!!! It also has an effect similar to auxing, so it can inhibit sprouting at pruning points, so you probably dont want to pinch or tie down when using ST.

One of the few products that I don't consider cannabis voodoo. It does what it says at the listed amount. I stop using it when my plants start to show bud.
Really works great on vegetables.

Superthrive®

The label on this product is all promises and little detail. Every millimeter, even the cap, is blanketed with claims of wondrous results enjoyed by thousands of users.

(Did you know it helped win World War II?
Allied forces actually used it to quickly refoliate /naturally camouflage jungle airbases/ landing strips).

The manufacturer claims that the product contains 50 vitamins and hormones, but there are only two listed by name on the product, vitamin B1 and 1-Naphthylacetic acid (NAA).
Some growers claim it also includes triacontanol, a growth stimulant found in alfalfa and beeswax, but the label does not mention it. Triacontanol is a naturally occurring plant hormone that acts as a growth promoter. Triacontanol raises plant yield by improving photosynthesis and cell division.

Vitamin B1 is a common ingredient of "plant starter" concentrates, along with a little fertilizer. Vitamin B1 may be a component used by the plant in the manufacture of auxins, which then stimulate root growth.

NAA is an auxin, included here in a low concentration. Rooting compounds consist of an auxin mixed in a chalky powder or gel.
The common auxins used in rooting compounds are either 1-Naphthaleneacetamide (NAM) or indole-3-butyric acid (IBA).
NAA is more commonly used in "fruit drop" products sprayed on fruit trees to thin fruit (auxins perform many plant functions).
Rootone® has NAM; Hormex® has IBA; Dip’N Grow® has IBA and NAA.

I have used superthrive in the past with great results. I just wouldn't go above the recommended amounts and you should be fine.

If you ever want to get even with someone - dump a bottle on the floor boards of their car :yoinks: it is the stinkingest stuff / be careful & keep it diluted

I use it for Seed Soaking, Stress, During Veg, and once when I start to flower. It's a miracle liquid. I'll never grow without it.
