Super Silver Sour Thai Nevil - Attempt of sativa in micro

Hi everyone, here's my Super Silver Sour Thai Nevil = (Green hornet Thai 82 x Nevil Haze 21) x Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze

Dimensions of the tent are 40 x 40 x 120 cm
One plant grown in 8,5l Autopot.
I'm using biobizz light mix soil with biotabs amendments.
Led lights tuned to around 50-60 W.

So this grow is kind of a test if its possible to cram such a sativa in a small tent. The plant was flowered from seed on 12/12 schedule, after 2 weeks or so i changed it to 11/13.

Here is the plant at 17 days.

Plant at 26 days after topping.

Plant at 31 days. Around that time i installed the first net.

Plant at 49 days, some more toppings were done along the way.

Plant at 60 days. If i remember correctly i had to leave it for a week or so around that time so i couldn't keep it under the net.

Plant at 65 days after i have added an additional net to help me control the plant. Some branches were cut.

Still 65 days. A look downstairs where the first overgrown net can be seen. It will be of use later.

Plant at 77 days. On this day i changed the light schedule to 10/14

Day 84. As the plant had to be put in its place i have used the first net and a set of zipties to fix the branches where i wanted them to be
84_1.jpg
84_2.jpg

Plant at day 97 still stretching and stretching. I had to leave it for a week or so around that time so it again had overgrown the net. Later i had to fix the height of the longer branches, but this time i have just supercropped them

Some flowers building up

Day 109. I will probably have to somehow lower it again because it is a little to close to the light.
109 (3).jpg

Some single calyxes forming there and there. Still no smell and no resin to be seen.
109 (4).jpg

So thats it for now. I have hoped for some less wild pheno but i will try to see this one to completion. Stem rub gives off some lime and puke notes.

Nice training, shame you had to go away for a week a few times as they can really jump up in a week and get wild before stretch has stopped.

Unfortunately for you yours looks like it might be the most wild( pearl) pheno .

We veg for 4 weeks 18/6 in soil from seed and flower , and still easy to manage if you top/train repeatedly until stretch stops 2-3 weeks into flowering.

Looking good anyway bro and hope its not the super wild pheno for you as your just in a tent

Interesting experiment and nicely documented micro grow. Led technology has come a long way and it has made growing in small spaces easier.

I'm currently looking into different automated water systems, preferably low or no energy consumption. I read about these autopots years ago and almost forgot about them. Any experience in general, good or bad you can share? I'll have to read up some more 🙂

Good luck with the grow, I will be keeping an eye on this 👀

I have made multiple grows using this Autopot system and had no real problems. The thing is i use it with conjunction with biotabs fertilizer which is a set of products that you just amend the soil with. That way i put only clean water in the reservoir as the fertilizers are already in the soil. If i want to add any else fertilizer i have to turn off the Autopot and wait for the soil to dry up a little and then just add the fertilizer with water directly to the pot.

For my needs this system works fine and provides good results, but as you can see im small time ;)

I know some people use the Autopot system in a way that they put their fertilizers to the reservoir with water but sadly i have no experience with that so cant really say anything.

Day 116

I went to the tent like a butcher and have cut some branches that were weaker or lost somewhere deep in this mess. Also i have lifted the LED up as much as possible. Some progress in flowering can be seen.. or at least thats what i say to myself :ROFLMAO: i cant wait for some resin or smell.
Plant is likely somewhat overferted with nitrogen so thats probably slowing things down too.

Day 124

Not much changes since last week. Again i have cut some branches. I wasn't paying attention to the zipties and had to carefully remove them as they became incorporated into the branches 😬. Much patience is needed with plants like this hehe.

Will make next update when something changes

@Shua1991 the photoperiod was changed to 10/14 on day 77. Maybe i could have done it earlier.

Like I said unfortunately ( or fortunately depends what your looking for and to others) yours is definitely the pearl pheno , a long flowering pheno with a small yield, but incredibly clean up clear High ( Cleanest High I've ever had , zero Indica at all) and incredible flavour ( Like Cleanest Lemon/Pine Terps I ever sampled) and seems like the parent to all Lime/Pine Haze's I've ever tried.

Super Silver Sour Thai Nevil is not a strain to just pop 1 seed as nearly every seed is a different pheno (but honestly all incredible, apart from to some the Pearl pheno is to wild flowering and smaller yielder to some, but is honestly incredible if your really into Sativa's and blew us away)

In my opinion 12/12 from seed stunts seed and delays flowering.

This pearl pheno I've run from seed several times in soil and coco ( 4 week veg) and flowered fine at 12-13 weeks, was still small yield but not tiny like i was expecting.
Flower from seed of pearl pheno I don't advise at all , minimum 2 week veg as it delays its progress.

Nice microgrow, Specimen!

Your pictures and smell description matches my pearl pheno of SSSTN. I took mine to 16+ weeks, but i was rewarded with a real authentic clear Sativa high. When it´s the first smoke of the day, you really feel the energy- spine tingling euphoric effect! Every real Sativa/Haze fan should try SSSTN. Yield was also good...
Good luck for your adventure!
Peace

Time for a little update.

So the plant was still growing upwards a little and began to be light stressed by the LED. I had to somehow lower the plant but that wasn't possible because there was just too much branches.
I had to take the plant out of the tent. I have no earthly idea how it fit in there, it could probably fill like two or three tents like this  I should have taken a picture of that

I have cut something like 1/3 or even more of the plant, also i removed the nets because they were defeated by the plant anyway. Sad but it had to be done if im to finish this grow.

This is how it looked after this massacre - day 130 from seed.

How it looks down under - day 138
138 (1).jpg

Day 137 - week after removing like 1/3 of the plant. Some light stressed branches can be seen.

Day 141 - this is how the plant looks now. Hopefully i will not have to lower it again :p

Hello, little update at day 152 (flower from seed).
Flowering is progressing, some resin started to appear here and there. This plant could really shine in some bigger tent/growing area.
Sadly i couldn't do it justice :p

Below are some pics.
152 (1).jpg

Here's a pic outside of the tent. Mind you that the plant is like half of what it was 20 days ago when i made a big pruning. Maybe i should have cut some more? I dont know.
152 (6).jpg

I still have full pack of those and will certainly try to revisit them next time in a bigger tent
If you have any tips feel free to share them with me. Im here to learn :dance013:

Peace!

Beautiful sativa Specimen. Your lst( low stress training, bending branches ) is fantastic. You could start flowering much earlier next time and start flowering at 11 hours of light and 13 hours of dark immediately at the flip
