ohh they know...How did that cat know how close it was to death? The way it jumped around, it did seem to know the danger in what it was doing...how did it know? What caused the good kitty to act like it was standing in fire? If you watch the snake during the video, it barely flinched, and only once.
Has the cat actually witnessed a snake striking and constricting/biting previously? Or, is that an example of "inherent knowledge" somehow passed from generation to generation? And if that can happen...well, that's kinda a mind fuck, ain't it.
Edit: Oh shit!! I just looked at it again and noticed the fucking pitch fork! Never mind with the "inherent knowledge BS".....hehehe
Also animals, even rats could do damage to snakes - especially cats. Pumas can eat big snakes & even caymans for breakfast. Though house cats are smaller they can put up a fight.ohh they know...
when i was younger i had a big ass tom. my brother brought home a boa. the snake was in its tank in the back room. i brought the cat in the living room and it started freaking out(fur on end, growling, eyes bulged out ect..)couldnt figure out what had him so pissed.
tried to take him down the hall to my room which was across from the room with the snake(door closed)and he was not having it!
tore me up,climbed the curtains and did not come down till the snake was gone.
