Similar i think, hard to tell.. i want the res and aero room bit all in one.. trying to make it as compact as possible only have a small amount of room to get the plants going.

if the res is to be all in one and water sitting at the bottom i'd prob add some airstones too.

need to fit a small aero cloner in the same space also.. so room is very limited.. 70cmx40cmx70cm height

Cheers, similar to what i am looking for, will have to look locally for a tub that will work for me and my space and start building :)

would love to have two tube same size fit in my 70cmx40cm area fro cloning and veg.

i have a main room with a small 3 bucket setup (blaze's bucket rdwc) with a 1000watter.

i'd like to have it flower only or atleast only try veg in there for a week or two at max.

I know for a fact that vegging aero is at least 30% quicker iv never flowered but due veg in aero then transplant to ones then 5 or 7g

Sorry about my insensitivity! I had to go back a page to see what's up.I'm sorry to hear about your brother and I wish you both well.
As far as quitting smoking, good luck, and try a product called Champex (it works)

I'm making three aero systems in 18 g rubbermaid , I was gonna do it so it's non-resuculating, just dump the water in as needed cuz I'm doing diffent strains so I would like to tailor the nutes accourdinly, do u see any problems with non-resurcuoating? And how many plants would u put in a 3x6 area? I wa thinking 9, 3 each and veging for about a month?

Gracias!

Still PM less, so please forgive the somewhat overt nature of this post.

Not sure where exactly your brother is, but compassionate release may be an option at this time given his regrettable circumstances. It would be well worth your while to consult a lawyer about that.

In any event, best wishes to you and your family Pirate.

Hey Pirate, sorry to hear the bad news about your bro. As for givining up smoking, if your using the patches then your using them wrong... put them over your eyes.. you wont be able to find your smokes then.

Thanks for the plans too, sweet rig and a even sweeter cave.

He said in his Pirates Cave thread that his brother's cancer is in remission but he hasn't been around in a while. I guess he will update when he gets back. Best wishes and such but certainly seems more hopeful now than when he first posted.

hello im kinda new to this site as im gonna start my new journal here and RIU. i read the first and second page and im gonna read the whole thread but i had a ? real quick i made a thread on roll it up about the AQUAMIST SYSTEM after seeing the see more buds collection myself. my first thought was a DIY as im a dirt grower but when i seen this i had to have it. when i finaly found the heads the ones i found were the VORTEX models and the cheapest i could find was 174.99. theres 3 in each system the biggest one is like you said 499.99 but by the time you buy 3 vortex misters you have spent 100 more than if you would have bought the system and you only have 3 sprinkler heads for an xtra 100 bucks. so thats my ? how is the DIY any cheaper. i understand you got a very good deal and ended up with all the heads thats cheap for you how is it cheap for us? thanks for your help

this should be a sticky

+rep to you for such a good DIY

Hey there Pirate, Im an avid follower and wish you and your brother luck. All my blessings to you and yours. I really enjoy your threads and hope to convert my 3x3 econo tray, and I was wondering...do you think that 4" is too shallow for this method? I figured if the roots were already sitting on the bottom that it shouldn't matter...I'll do some more planning and crunching numbers, but I figured I'd ask the expert. Good luck once again. Good Vibess.
Bless.

i agree botani....pirate uses a 4 inch height, and flat5th uses a 7 inch height...I would think that the 7 inch is better, but am not sure, cuz i havent done these yet...please pirate and flat5th give me and botani some feedback....i just found one with a 10 1/2 inch height...but its only 32x32...I love both the methods you guys use...I just wanna get the best option....is it 4, or 7, or 10-1/2....thankl you all...

He hasn't been around for a while, I hope everything is okay with him. As far as sprayers go, get the ones you can afford but I would suggest getting ones with low gph rates so that you can put more of them in your unit. I would also suggest getting ones with filters in them already. Probably your best bet is to spend a little more than you want to on them.

Yeh fish, I have a 3x3 american hydroponics tray, its only 4.25" deep...Im thinking about doing this with a 400 gph pump and about 8 or 9 mister heads. Do yall think I would be able to get around using a tap by using
THESE?
http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=50529
....Instead of PVC?!

Im not a big fan of PVC and would avoid it when all possible, no offense to the Cap'n!

Being RUBBER, dont you think if i drilled a hole just smaller than the bottom of the sprayer heads, the rubber would give just a little over the threads and it would just....POP in place? I dont think the pressure would be high enough to pop it back out....but then again Im not sure....this is my first aero build. Is it necessary to secure the structure?? Wont the weight of the water/the pressure of the sprayers keep it held down well enough?
Feedback anyone?
Brainstorm!
bless.

ALSO....does anyone think it would be mutiny to use the same size Fill tubing as Drain tubing? I was thinking both 3/4"...if not I'll just use 1/2" Fill and 3/4" Drain...maybe they'll just sell me like an 8' piece, don't need much for a drain!
