I was wrong on the ladybugs, gladly - the yellowing spots are where I was far too aggressive months ago braking & bending arms, next year I’m gonna top only I think, wait till you see some of these stem & base balls on these plants once season ends it’s wild, it’s impossible to capture the size of this plant on camera & where it is but man there’s a lot of flower coming, a decent October would be very welcomed

Well my hands don’t hurt anymore, my back & biceps took center stage - lol, whoa that’s a lot of hand tamping

May put turf there in future but not for now, it’s prepped for it at least… turned out to be closer to 1000SF - did I mention that’s a lot of tamping !!

5oz 20 year fabric going down then some outdoor carpets & move all the crap back, leveled…

It was badly out level as we began with 22 apple trees now have 9, where the base of trunks remain I previously cut down were especially uneven… now my MIL can’t bitch anymore alls well

Shit, too much work already done to not just turf this thing now, change of plans…

Gonna also make the new sand box 12’ x 10’ and half of it 24” tall / deep (so probably gonna need to order 6 tons more sand), hopefully good weather well into October, I’ve got another 3 + weeks of hard work back there with everything I need to do, still need to prep all the beds for fall / winter, plant garlic & other regular fall work too - man it’s a busy couple months…

500 staples just now, my right shoulder has taken a beating the past couple days, somebody else is jerking me off tonight - haha

Got a nice sunset as I was wrapping up, gonna be over 35K step day today by time days over, past 2 weeks straight have all been 25-35k days, been a bit since I’ve had over a 40k step day - gotta think I’m getting quite a few more than tallied when building stuff too, I’ll spend hours working hard and get basically none… ha, what the hell am I complaining & rambling on about - lol - my brain & body is shot, kids & wife been sick too, think I sweated that shit out day 1 but whom knows

Holy crap think I just needed some food, realized I ate nothing all day & way too much coffee… I just ate two 6-8oz Sirloins, the kids & wife split the other two… Some garden potatoes & bunch of mushrooms, garlic & fresh herbs - Man I’m a perfect 130% full

Not gonna lie I ate one by hand before starting into my plate - Man was I hungry, ate it like a caveman

Overbuilt super sandbox - definitely gonna be repurposed once kids grow out of it

^^^ This entire area was a real mess, it took me a while pulling all the fence posts, rolling up the fence, digging up the stones, grading & leveling it etc but it’s mostly done now & wife definitely appreciative - still a bit of ways to go, fall bed prep & plantings but we’re getting it done bf the snow starts to fly

Sticky Durlumbo is now insane frosty Durlumbo and it’s very early flower in weak sun, very happy I have a cut of this plant & it’s filled with seed even though it’s got more bug activity on it than any plant I’ve ever seen, at this point it’s a full blown series of experiments & I don’t necessarily think it’s a bug attractor rather series of many circumstances and zero treatments on this plant at all this year…. She’s still managing like a champ but absolutely being negatively affected, all types of beneficial insects @ too
